How in the world did Mayweather weigh less on fight night than on the 7 day weigh-in, makes no sense?:smashfrea
So he actually lost 2.5 pounds between the 7-day weigh-in and fight night? Didn't he eat or drink any water or was he trying to trim down before stepping into the ring... lol.
It's not that surprising. Going into the 7 day weigh in he was coming off training so his muscle weight was up. Going into the weigh in and with training being cut, his muscle weightdecreased . This would matter to most fighters because their body fat increases as well but since Floyd isn't a jmw and since he didn't have any body fat to gain, he lost weight instead.
Ellerbe said Floyd's on his twitter. Not sure the source on Canelo but Ive seen everyone on different sites reporting his.

So much for the BS about Canelo being a 20 pounds or more bigger man than Mayweather. If that report is true then at this particular time, as Floyd loves to say, Canelo is less than 5 pounds heavier than Floyd. Canelo is only 5.4 pounds over the contract weight with 7 days to go until the weigh in. He just needs to dry out a bit and skip breakfast and he will be on weight if those weights are correct. Hell, Mayweather is over 152 pounds as well. Better lay off the coke and fried chicken, Floyd.
Well, they have to be at or under the 7 day limit mate. They can't just come in at any weight.
Not sure if this is true
but if it is just proves Canelo has no business at 154
Because he's 5 pounds over 7 days out? That's actually very good. Better than most fighters these days. It means he's not just on point to making 152, but doing it pretty easy and healthily. The fact he also moved up from 147 and has had about ten or so fights from 150-154, averaging about 152 pounds across those ten fights also suggests that he's got plenty of business there still.
first of all what is the fine per pound for canelo? And secondly oscar wants him to win real bad so what are the odds of him having said to canelo ... (just come in at 153 or 153.5 and golden boy will cover the fine) if he wanted to give canelo a real good psychological boost 9as well as a physical one) that would be the best thing he could do for him. Also oscar knows all about being weight drained for a fight so imo if there is any risk of canelo being drained he'll be all over it to try to ensure canelo comes in at his best. So as it stands not knowing the fine I wouldn't be surprised if canelo comes in maybe at 153 or something.
Yes, I agree.....a lesson on properly draining you opponents.:nonono:
C'mon bro. Floyd is a welterweight, by the time Canelo comes in the ring he'll be 170+ that's a ****in light heavyweight. He's suppose to b the champ at 154 but he'll b 3 weight classes above that. 160,168,175
but Floyd was supposably 150 lbs. 3 weeks ago
people love to act like Floyd's a lightweight
152.5, so what would he weigh after a 2 hour training session? 149-150 perhaps. You guys are retarded. The most recent ESPN article coming out about Floyd with the writer shadowing him in camp and life mentioned he was cutting training sessions off early because quote "i feel too light"
It's at 152, ideally that's what he'd like to weigh in at. What did he weigh in at for ODLH and Cotto when the limit was 54?? He didn't weight 154, or even 53.
My guess is that Floyd will come in at 151 or 151.5.
Also, no one is acting like Floyd is a LW, but he is a small WW, by welter standards both recently and historically.
what people tend to overlook is that Floyd is pretty much made weight already, and he can worry less about making wait and put more focus on actual training/strategy/rest the final week before the fight.
Canelo, on the other hand, will still be busy shedding the 5 lbs and possibly stressing out about being able to make weight, so his focus will be on the weight instead of focusing on strategy/training.
Floyd already won the mind games outside the ring.

Spot on, I couldn't have said it better myself!!!
On fight night, Floyd has already been declared a winner but Canelo's corner was just thinking about the strategy.
This is a farce fight unlike the Pac/Rios, I would definitely pay for.
Yeah, but one weighs 172 and the other weighs 151. Be that as it may, catch weights are lame, but at least they're fighting.
Are you sure? Looking at Canelos sheet, it says hes weighed in at or under the weight limit of 154 every single time.
Mayweather`s best weight is junior Lightweight,so Ortiz Marquez and Canelo is not fighting Floyd at his best weight.Pacquiao is the one that`s known for draining fighters.
Since 2006, how many fights does Floyd have at 140 or below? If you say 0, that means his best weight, is the division hes spent over 6 years in.

Him weighting 152lb now does not mean he didn't weight 150lb 3 weeks ago. He's not in a position where he has to shed weight, so it will go up and down.Thank you, lmmfao.

people love to act like Floyd's a lightweightHow come I'm not surprised at this hilarious comment? Because the author is about as clueless as a new born baby.
He was 159.2 at the 7 day weigh in for trout. Just answered my own question lol. So he will be losing roughly the same amount of weight this last week as he did for the trout fight.
well, Blake Griffin is looking pretty cut there...Im actually surprised that hes only 5.4 pounds off and theres still 7 days to go..if he were draining himself, he'd be struggling already and would be weighing in higher at this point!..he'll sweat or pis$ those 5lbs out in the next few days..
