I must have missed those, I only read where he said it was 50/50.
Floyd will probably try to make it as boring as possible, if the crowd is booing he's winning. If the people are cheering, he's taking some shots.
Canelo will have to change that, maybe even get rough in there and throw Floyd down if he's holding for dear life on the inside. Yeah it's dirty but this might be his only opportunity at Floyd.
You're right about that, if 'Nelo wants this he's gonna have to use every trick in the book and make full use of his size advantage.
Possibly the same reason for this last. GGGs met and sparred with Alverez, seemed to have a fairly high opinion of him too. I think he's supporting Canelo, but earlier comments suggest that he thinks Mayweather will win unless Canelo manages to get him out of there early.
Oh, and also that he thinks it ain't gonna be a particularly exciting fight - something I tend to agree with, despite all the hype around it.

I remember talking to Floyd about 8-9 years ago and he told me he didn't really follow the sport. I was asking him about upcoming fights.
I've also trained at boxing gyms where the fighters don't follow the sport, pro's don't even know who the champions are in their weight division.
I think here though it's GGG saying he doesn't know him personally but he knows Matthysse so he goes with him. He also says he likes Canelo against Mayweather which I'm sure is thread worthy.

Boxers are pretty retarded when they don't follow their own sport.
GGG is actually something of a follower as well, usually pretty good in his picks too. My understanding is that he meant he hasn't really watched enough of Danny to form an opinion. For all the time I spend watchin' boxing, there's plenty of top fighters I haven't really watched properly - specially in the lower weights, and I probably have more a lot more time than GGG to keep up with it.
I find it disappointing when boxers don't know and don't care about who is taking part in their own sport.
If he had time to follow all boxers he'd be one of the boxingscene posters not a MW champion.
Don't get me wrong but outside of the US very few people know who Garcia is except hardcore fans.
Maybe he heard the name but didnt bother watching Garcia fight.
Danny has been a champ for like a year and he's not that exciting as a fighter. I see how a top boxer may only watch guys from other divisions that he finds entertaining, and given that GGG is a KO guy I understand how another top KO artist like Matthysse may have caught his attention.
Lets get real here, Danny beat an expired Morales and was getting killed by Khan until he got lucky. Take that away and hes a mediocre boxer that stands in front of the opponent and takes a beating trying to land a left hook.
Get off Swift's dick for a minute and put your girl on it....smh....what's your obsession with the Philly Rican?!?....smh....like who the f*ck cares if a MW is familiar or not with a fighter 20 f*cking pounds below his weight class?!?:ugh:
I hope you get pregnant by Swift....real talk :lol1:
i'm always surprised when a fighter turns out to be only a casual fan of the sport. at my old gym, no one knew anything that was going on in the boxing world other than the big PPV fights. it's very odd.
Most fighters really don't follow the sport, it's pretty weird.
The two that do, Andre Ward and Paulie Malignaggi are commentators.

When he said "I don't know Danny Garcia" I'm sure it means face to face
Implying he knows Matthysse face to face?
Lets get real Danny KO Kahn, beat Judah 9-3 rounds, oh and he's undefeated! Also Garcia's recent KO's has been just as impressive. Guys keep taking away from Garcia and not giving him his credit. Okay Morales was shot, but Mike Dallas come on had 3 loses and was KO by Jose Sito Lopez. For Matty, Peterson more than likely been doping up until the kahn win, was a great win, but most felt " I think Peterson won a SD"Peterson really lost to Kahn, has been down twice vs Ortiz, twice vs Khan and of all who's not considered a power puncher twice vs Bradley. Its not like he put peterson to sleep. Now that's real:boxing:
You picked Peterson to win doe.

Its one thing when a fighter claims they dunno a fighter from their division (arguably the best). And its another thing when a guy divisions apart claim they dunno another.

That's how I'm seeing this as well. Why would a middleweight care about a junior welterweight? It's not like he is friends with anyone Garcia's fighting recently, at least not that I know of.
GGG should know Danny because Danny is a champ, not because he's American. Him being an American is relevant only to American fans. I'm from Canada and nobody I know knows who Danny is.
