It's interesting that both Mayweather and Alvarez beat Mosley by exactly the same official scores, two ringside judges scored it 119-109, while the third had it 118-110. Identical scores in both fights.
But who do you think beat Mosley more convincingly?
It's really hard to say, they both beat him in different ways. Floyd took him to school and Canelo beat him up. But since Mosely was a bit younger against Floyd, I guess I'd say Floyd.
Tough to answer, Floyd never hurt Shane, but canelo did (sick left hook to the body) and left his face really puffy. And Shane hurt Floyd pretty bad but not Canelo. Taken this into account obscures the answer more, still think it was Floyd, but not by much.

Agreed. Pacquiao actually had Shane running for dear life and almost stopped him, whereas Alvarez beat him up like the old man (in boxing terms) that he is, and well Floyd almost got KTFO! So all things considered Pacuiao>>>Alvarez>>>Floyd in terms of convincingly defeating Mosley.
Mosley was more active against Canelo and fought hard til the last seconds of round 12. Mosley had his best moment/s against Floyd in one round(round 2), but against Canelo, he land some good punches in spurts even though Canelo dominated him in every rounds.
This is the truth right here^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Canelo beat him up worse and its not even close
Canelo could've stopped him where Floyd never hurt Shane once and was himself close to getting KTFO if he didn't hold on like his life depended on it
you picked against Floyd? Shocking!

Floyd made Shane look silly. There's more to boxing then beating someone up and stopping them, and a lot of boxing fans dont get this.
at a higher weight? mosley fought at his normal weight!! he was at full strength!! actually when he fought mayweather he had to come down in weight..thus weaker!!!
So I guess he came down in weight to beat Margo and fight Pac and Cano, great analysis
Why is this even been asked? Sadly, Mosley was overly passed his best, very shop worn and basicly exhasted when he faced Canelo.
As far as activity goes all Mosley did was R-U-N vs Canelo. Floyd beat a much better prepared, more agressive and a better Mosley.
Mosley was only there for the payday during the Canelo fight.
This is a joke of a thread.
Hell, Cotto fought and beat a much better version of Mosley than the versions that FMJr. and Canelo's combined!
Now /end thread!

Mosley is better off at 147, he knows he's too small at 154. He was just saying about the Mundine fight, he'd much rather fight at 147 but he'll go up for the right money
Very true.
Shane's always been underwhelming at 154.
He's not built for 154, his style isn't effective there and never has been.

Floyd at least beat a younger Mosley coming out of a win against Margo, the layoff in waiting for a payday take the luster off that win.
Canelo fought an older Mosley at a higher weight.

well we have to look at how mosley went into the fight with mayweather..we know that mayweather always wants all the advantages possible and available to him... in mosleys case he had to dehydrate down to mayweathers weight division and the clause was he had to stay at that weight at fight night..so in other words mosley was at a great disadvantage because he would enter the fight dehydrated..and as the fight went on he would become weaker by severe dehydration..so this is an unfair fighting ground..now in the canelo fight mosley was at full strength and at his normal weight..so the fight was fair and sguare..this understood canelo had the better fight against mayweather..and to add a point canelo did not fall for the same strategy that mayweather wanted to impose on him.

Canelo fought an older Mosley at a higher weight.
Mosley was WAY over the hill against BOTH fighters. Shane was coming off a 17 month lay off against Floyd though, old Mosley would of had a lot more success against Floyd if he had fought 4 or 5 months prior, instead of fighting Floyd after a year and a half lay off.
Thats one great pic you have there
