A) a fight between two entertaining, mediocre, ESPN caliber fighters go at it
OR
B) a highly skilled but boring, undefeated, HOF potential fighter vs a good, competitive opponent
I ask this because a lot of fans want good fights and b*tch about fighters like Floyd, rigo. But for paying $9 a month for HBO or showtime shouldn't you want to see the best talent the world has to offer?
Boxing is an art, if fighters like Rigo and Floyd can be so good to avoid getting punched, then im all for it.
Leave the exciting warriors for ESPN, on HBO and showtime I want to see TALENT
I would always choose to watch boxing at the highest level. But in the real world there's enough time for both. I love domestic cards and watching guys in the early stages of their careers. I try to watch it all.
Floyd just puts on master classes, Rigo's last fight was for me FOTY.
You need to watch both because if you have watched a guy since he was say 2-0 and years later he's unifying titles you just feel more invested and care more.
Either way if casual fans want to jump on the bandwagon when someone is already established then good. Boxing needs all the fans it can get.
I think people who aren't interested in mayweather type of fights have never been in the ring before.. It takes an insane amount of excellence and perfection to be able to do what he does
I would rather watch Mayweather fight, but I usually prefer journeyman fights to a Rigondeaux boxing match. I appreciate footwork, but I'm more of a fight fan than a "pure boxing fan".
Give me B. I'm in the minority, but I have yet to see a boring Mayweather fight. I'm usually in awe of his boxing skills. I like watching all the technicalities that he displays. It's very entertaining to me.
But I'll watch A too lol, I like watching all kinds of fights.
I'll watch boxing,no matter who is fighting.
Mayweather is always in good fights and his style is unique.Let's just not mistake Money,an ATG, with Rigo, a journeyman/B level fighter.
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
I only like to watch fighters I follow
If we're talking Floyd or Rigo, I'd rather watch that, but if the ESPN fighters are 2 prospects or journeymen that I tend to keep track of (while the big name fight isn't) than I'll watch that

B! No clinching though.
If one of the fighters is Rigo then I choose C...watch one of the many recorded WARS that I have recorded or selected rounds.

I like watching Mayweather's boxing however Rigondeaux was pretty boring in his last fight only. Otherwise I like watching Rigodeaux aswell, I like it when Rigondeaux goes into attack mode, that's fun.
I'm bit of boxing purist and a bit of blood thirsty ghoul :D
So A or B pick one lol
