Floyd is not the cherry picker here, you guys do it FOR HIM!! You hype up all these guys off of popularity instead of skill or how their style matches up against Floyd's style, instead we of the normal you scared, he's ducking..to dangerous comments...of guys that Floyd would beat easily.
Instead of hyping up the Canelo fight, you guys should have been hyping up Austin Trout Vs Floyd Mayweather after Trout's win over Cotto.
Instead of hyping up Ortiz you should have been hyping up Lara Vs Mayweather.
Instead of hyping up Delahoya you should have been hyping up Paul Williams.
My point is, the most dangerous fights for Floyd stylewise is usually not against the most popular guys.
I still don't understand how Margarito and Paul Williams became the standard bearer of fighters Mayweather should have fought to make his resume more legit.
I suppose it's the old novelty of wanting to see the best fighters fighting the best available competition in their weight class.
Srl fought duran while the hearns fight got bigger. Dundee has admitted this yet you say no.
Leonard fought Duran because that was his mandatory and that was the biggest fight to make in the sport at that time. And when Hearns was the biggest fight to make, that's the fight that happened.
I agree with the tough time but IMHO if any fighter can pull it off I think Floyd is the one to do it. How epic would that be? Of he were to
Lose no one could talk crap including myself
I would love for him to fight at 160 at least once since all the other ATG's has atleast worn the WM title once.
I don't think he can handle 160; I think he has tapped out at 154. He would have a tough time Felix Sturm at that weight let alone Sergio or GGG. If he does go up to 160 I think it will be his last fight.

The Canelo fight is def the biggest in money but its not his biggest test but I'm not complaining about that fight it has to happen now and if its a close enough fight then a more lucrative rematch can be made .
I want to see floydie go to 160 and fight Sergio or GGG and win a title in his 6th weight class. That would sh it on manny's 8!

So when is Floyd supposed to wait for Canelo when he turns 38; right now or next Cinco De Mayo is the best time for this fight. If Floyd fought Trout people would complain how boring of a fight it would be so cut the bulli*****.

So ADP if not Canelo then who. Who was ready and didnt need more time?
This was the time Floyd should have been vacationing not when the competition was available.
Canelo needs more time and the CW will not help. Most of us know this and I said this way before the fight was announced .... but I surely had a good laugh at Floyd and some of his fans when they said "Canelo is too big to fight Floyd" ... then the CW ...
just remember ali spinks, ali oreman, tyson douglas...
surprises come when and where least expected
Yes, if you look at it that way, everyone and anyone has a chance BUT the odds are not good when you look at it as a whole ..... and that is what I'm doing.
Canelo fights flat-footed and Floyd has his dad as a trainer now. So I see Floyd pot shotting and moving all night long. Canelo may get tired just trying to get at Floyd.
Canelo needs to stay in the fight as long as possible and hopefully take the early rounds. This way it puts more pressure on Floyd to come in and fight.
Just accept it. Floyd is the most dominant force in boxing. There is no one alive from 140-154 that will beat him.
I remember when Mosley was the guy, when Vivian Harris, Judah, Berto, Oscar, Hatton, Khan etc was the guy.
Then it shifted to Alvarez and now its Golovkin, next year it will be Matthyse it never ends been that way forever on here.
Floyd constantly makes these fighters look like shyt. Face it. Accept it. Deal with it. Come to grips with it. It will make it easier to cope. But FFS its going on 17 years hes not a fluke.
Go check out the poll here. Only about 25% of those polled believe Canelo will win and I'm sure most of those are either Canelo fans or those who always bet against Floyd.
Canelo still needed more time. Both for himself and for us to then gauge if he improved enough to bring those odds to at least 50% - 50%.
Most people saw it in the Trout fight (and other fights). Besides the CW, Canelo has too many serious issues to fix that it would be hard to believe that he would be able to fix with only one training camp.

Floyd by unanimous decision, rather easily like usual...nobody from 140-154 can beat Floyd Mayweather...Canelo does nothing better than Floyd, he doesn't possess the jab of Cotto's or superb hand speed of a Judah...nothing he can show Floyd that he hasn't seen before...
I've heard time and time again how a guy is supposed to be too big and strong for Floyd and he hasn't lost yet...that style plays right into a counterpuncher's hands...
I don't see how anyone thinks this fight will be competitive..maybe one day Floyd will have to eat his words but it won't be September 14th...another trip to the bank for Mr. Mayweather...
The co-main event should be the main event if you ask me...
I'm cool with this fight. Except for the bs CW.
agree.......
nobody should rule out canelo....
he's young, strong, hungry and if he got to hit floyd early and cleanly floyd will be in big trouble or perhaps ko'd.....
i think floyd was pushed to this fight to soon because of the failure moneywise of his first show with espn.........
So now Canelo is now an easy fight?

except shane said no-toothache, manny said no-ped testing, cotto said no-not ready, margs-lost out when floyd left TR.
Those are typical Floyd fan excuses that people don't buy.
- Mosley had planned a vacation. So training would have been affected by that. Funny that Floyd, who took those "opportune vacations", are not considered to be a duck by Floyd fans but that already planned one by Mosey was? .... Mosley was willing to do it if the fight happened a month or two later. Mosley wanted it from 2006 to 2010. Floyd said "Not going to fight Mosley" ..... until Mosley was inactive for 16 months and OLD! Then Floyd changed his mind!
- Manny said OK to extra testing .... Manny and Floyd couldn't come closer on the cutoffs. Once Manny agreed on Floyd's demand. Floyd was nowhere to be found (vacations) then fought other opponents, then wanted ALL PPV money then wanted Manny to be part of Floyd promotions or no fight.
- We all know that Floyd was OK for the greener version of Cotto but not the prime one. Then he took the version of Cotto that was still licking his wounds from the wars he had already. Typical Floyd!
- Arum left the door and his fighter Margarito open in case Floyd still wanted the fight after he left top Rank. Floyd prefered the easier fight .... Baldomir
Margarito and Paul Williams is a risk for Floyd? You must be joking or trolling. And Margarito lost to Shane, also back then their was higher ranked opposition that Floyd fought over Margarito.Paul Williams did not bring big money to the table and wasn`t a risk anyway.I mean come on,he lost to mediocre Quintana,Had Quintana not try to brawl with Paul Williams in the Rematch,Quintana would have most likely won the rematch also.
You are one of them fools that have Floyd winning all these fantasy matches Floyd and his fans are the queens of fantasy matches ! And styles make fights not your triangle bull sh it theory
Floyd is the only fighter in the world that can fight the top guys in his division, the division below and the division above and still be called a cherry picker. Ask Ward to fight Golovkin, Quillin and Martinez. Ask him to fight Stevenson and Kovalev. I guarantee he will tell you to go to hell.
