Does anyone else find bhop calling fights one of the funniest performances of the year? He is clearly stealing money from the networks and has a great seat at the fights.
First the Paulie/Broner performance and now last night. I particularly enjoy when they "throw" to him for analysis and he stands there saying nothing smiling.
Bernard obviously knows a thing or too about the sport of boxing, sometimes it looks like he gets a little full of himself. His monologues in his post fight interviews make him look like he's got a big ego. But I guess he's earned the right to talk like that. He's an ATG, in my mind atleast.
he is boring as **** and sucks, but gotta love paulie as a commentator
roy is awful and extremely bias to certain fighters based on certain characteristics
Whaat? Paulie's voice alone makes me tune out the commentating.
Hopkins loves to hear himself talk. Look at the guys interviews. He thinks he's saying some really wise profound sh1t but in actuality, it's utter drivel most of the time.
They should hire his daddy, Sir Joseph Calzaghe, to co-commentate so he'll be a little quieter.
Agreed. Nice video reel in the sig.
Roy Jones is terrible. I sit listening intently to keep up with his motor mouth and when he's finished i'm like "what the **** did he just say" LOL

Hopkins is garbage as a commentator.
He should just do in studio analysis or something not play by play commentary. I remember when he did Showtime he was quiet for long periods of time lol it was funny. Usually he goes on and on for hours, but commentary he seems to be at a loss for words.
I like Kevin Kelley as a commentator they need to bring him back.
Absolutely. I think retired boxers should always be hired as commentators. My favorites are George Foreman, Roy Jones Jr., and Sugar Ray Leonard.

He has come along way. 4 to 5 years ago when I would listen to him try and speak intelligently I would say to myself stop forcing it. But he's getting better. I actually thought last night was the best I've ever heard him commentate.
