Golovkin vs. Stevens Deal Reached

Props for Glovkin letting his balls hang in taking on a serious puncher, and props to Stevens for wanting to fight and beat one of the best in the division. Stevens can get it done as long as his stamina and mind is right, which means living right and training right for this fight. It all up to him. Too bad it's not. When he stepped up in comp, it was either KO them early or drag it out and hope for the best

GGG kills him but what other options were there? I would have liked the winner of gaele/barker but they won't fight him they will fight sturm next and use that as an excuse. Only other option is Mora but he will stink up the joint. Not that big of a fight but Stevens will be humbled. I hope GGG does play by play noises of the knockdowns and knockout.

you guys are just hating, HBO probably didnt approve Mora because that would be a boring fight, Mora is a spoiler and doesnt fight. Stevens is being talked about because of the KO and this will be a solid fight as long as it lasts. You guys said no one is testing GGGs chin, how would Mora test his chin? Barker / Geale are both afraid of GGG and they both want to fight Sturm next if they win, so who besides Stevens is there for GGG? No one! I am happy there is finally a fight with a guy that will try to hit GGG. you talk about a boring fight but forget that HBO put Perez vs Gamboa which was a very boring fight.

Curtis Stevens is a c class bum, how ever I don't mind this fight. its always good to see fighters who think they are better than they are get humbled.

This will be Golovkin's last fight this year two. Hopefully the other MW contenders grow some balls in 2014.

He's probably got overrated power at this point. GGG will wreck him, literally. Once punch kO power is there... but it only lasts for the first 1-3 rounds with it rapidly diminishing from there. Predicting a body punch ko
