Matthysse-Garcia: The Tour is takingplace after all?

Lucas came to the US to make money. Both of you are touting this as the main event, well do your part to sell the main event and the ppv. Responsibilities come with being groomed for stardom and given a high profile ppv spot. You can't just train and show up 24hrs before the fight like he did with Petersen. Lucas and his fans got what the fight they wanted. Respectfully, STOP THE BLOOD CLOT CRYING!!!! Exactly. What do they expect if they want a Floyd fight? For floyd to promote it on his own? Ironically there's international fighters that do come early to adjust to the climate. Maybe not 3 weeks but it still shouldn't effect the outcome of there training Lucas has been training for some time.

I'm not saying he's scared or ducking or any of the usual NSB bullsh1t crap that gets floated. Unlike his other fights this fight brings with it a different set of responsibilities as well as rewards if he wins. So its not about fair its about business. Its about fair when no sane boxers cuts camp 3 weeks before the fight and moves half way across the planet. If they wanted to to this, they should have announced the fight earlier and have thetour before camp. Press tours are done before the camp, not 3 weeks from the fight when your camp is half way around the world. Sure, Danny takes a few hours, shows up, then goes back to his gym. Matthysee has to set up in a new place, new accomodations, new routine. This isnt even the main event and its was announced what, less than two months beofre the actual fight. Its a fked up attempt to mess with one of the fighter's training. That's what this is.

This move is a little inconvenience for Lucas training, but I think is good for Lucas's image, not only in the States but specially among the Argentinian casual fans, that hardly know what is happening in September 14th. I think it's OK.

1 Week would have been more than enough. 3 weeks is just an attempt to mess up his camp. If they go along with this GBP is trying to favor Garcia. I truly believe they're trying to set this dude up. They know he likes being isolated and they're making him break camp. On top of that they're hitting 2 cities mainly for Garcia (NY and PR). And when have you heard of a co main event with its own tour? Posted from Boxingscene.com App for Android

They are basically forcing him to do camp in USA half way through, which is what Matthysse said he didnt want to do. Only that this is worse because it cut camp in half. It would have been better to to the entire camp in USA instead, not that it would have been possible with the fight being confirmed so late. A dirty move by GBP.

I don't get it what's the big deal they need to promote this fight it's in the contract and if Angel f*cks with Lucas it's only going to make it more dangerous for Danny. Three weeks in USA before the fight means Matthysse's camp gets cut in half, with the second half being in a strange place without much of his team. His sparring partners are in Argentina, Arano Box, his entire camp is over there, this its insane. Try sending Garcia to Buenos Aires before the fight, have him settle over there three weeks before the fight. That fool could hardly survive in Buenos Aires, let alone train.

This is messed up. The tour should have been done before camp. After all, it was Danny the Duck who kept on ducking until the fight was on top of them. WTF is Matthysse going to do in USA for 3 weeks? I really hope he doesnt go for this BS. I'm guessing he usually comes to the USA for his fights here a few weeks early anyway so its no big deal. He just didnt want to interrupt camp which makes sense.
