Seriously the man gave u guys great fights. In his prime he would of beat any 140-154 pounder today including Floyd. Is it that he continues to b successful? Is it cause he dresses in drag? If it wasn't for him we would still b under the mercy of bob arums crappy ppv cards. I'm not even a fan of his much he did so much for the sport that I can't c where the hate is coming from.

Sorry man he wouldn't have beat Floyd then either! I don't dislike him but lost a lil respect for him when he gave the "I was old" Excuse for the Floyd loss when asked what happened in that fight by an interviewer! Lame!!!!
I've always liked the fact that the "Golden Boy" was willing and able to lace them up w/ any body, however I hated his image outside the ring. The guy made an R&B album not to mention the fishnets. lol.

I apologize about the guy being a Floyd lol but I think ur exactly who I'm asking y people hate Oscar. Seems u don't like him cause he's successful which translates u into just a hater. I think ur mad that even though he lost some fights he continued to b the money man. Everyone still wanted to fight him. Plus all his loses with the exception of Hopkins and Pac were all controversial.
Prime Oscar beats the daylights out of Floyd and Manny, so he's obviously not in the goodbooks of either fanbase :D
I preferred him as a boxer, as a promoter he's really just part of the corrupt machine, but whatever makes him money I guess..
Buh-buh-buh-but he lost all of his big fights! Lol I love when people say that. Win, lose, or draw, the only fight he was not competitive in was the Pacquiao fight. I won't even get into the argument that he beat Trinidad and Mosley (second fight).
Oscar is awesome, best thing that has happened to this sport both in and out of the ring in over 2 decades.
If you don't love Oscar, you don't love boxing. He's everything the sport should truly be about.

Lost to Shane once
Lost to Manny when he was done
Lost to Hopkins when he shouldn't even been fighting him at that weight.
Lost to Floyd when he was past it. Never lost to Trinidad, BS decision.
Oscar is/was the fukin man and you little pukes should be grateful that he's putting together such great cards as a promoter.
As a boxer, Oscar is in my top 5 for sure. First fight I ever remember watching was ODLH vs Chavez. The guy was always in entertaining fights and never really ducked anyone. His style made him easy to like. I'll never forget feeling gutted when he lost to Trinidad and conversely elated when he KO'd Vargas and Mayorga.
As a promoter he rubs people the wrong way when he comes out extremely biased towards the boxers he promotes. Now if he backed all the statements he makes, signed his boxers to fight the best no matter the promoter, I don't think people would hate on him as much.
Obviously just repeating what you have heard. Go check boxrec before you go making un educated statements.

Too many Boxrec fans and not enough boxing fans.
Oscar is one of the leading lights of the 90s, one of the best welters I've ever seen, primed he beats everyone at welter over the last decade and is great h2h against the greats of the division, yeah that includes Leonard, Robinson, Hearns, Cuevas, Gomez, Zivic and so on. Oscar has power, good speed and tremendous skills and heart. He'd go to war all night and through the 90s had one of the best resumes of any fighter...ever!
His first legit loss was to a doped up Mosley and even that was a hell of a close fight. Heck a washed up Oscar gave Floyd the toughest night of his life. **** the haters, Oscar makes more money in one week than you will in your lives!
No ****, for your information I am a boxing fan. I was telling this person to have look at boxrec sticking up for Oscar because they stated he never won any of his big fights. I agree with everything you have said.

I never bought into the holier than thou image that has been presented since day 1. I give him credit for fighting for his country in the olympics but thats about it.

He is alright. I hate when he sucks off Canelo though.
He is on the recieving end of my favorite body shot KO though
Haha are you for real? It looks like Oscar took a dive to me..
Oscar had talent, yes he did,but lets be honest here he lost all of his big fights against prime fighters.

Are you saying he lost to Tito, and Shane in the 2nd fight?
I wouldn't call it "hate", but I'm not a fan of his fake persona.
