He came in the weigh in at 145 for a 147 fight that he initially agreed on, yet all we talk about how he was drained..
I could be wrong, but did he not drain himself more?

here's an article a month before the fight. what was he supposed to gain? he had already taken the weight off. it was a stupid strategy because he didn't use his size at all but to pretend like he drained himself down from a high weight is not true. he acclimated his body to 145 a month before the fight took place.
whenever you put a ton of weight on overnight that means you drained yourself badly. look at chavez jr, canelo, corrales etc...
Doesn't mention needing IV fluids to gain 2 lbs lol
You another dickhead that hangs on to nothing in spite of the cold hard facts . . IV FLUIDS idiot !!
Corrales gained like 16 lbs over night. Oscars body shut down and gained nothing. there are really no similarities
oscar had nothing to gain.

When I read posts that Chico was weight drained, to me it means that they 1). never saw the Chico Floyd fight, 2). never saw the pre fight comments from Chico, or 3). don't know a drained fighter when they see one.
Chico did not fight like a weight drained guy. He fought like a guy who was way slower than a fast fighter.
1. i have seen it. he was clearly drained.
2. have you seen the pre-fight comments from hoya and dawson? they were good to go!
3. his entire body was shutting down. his head was clear and he was getting dropped with single punches from a non-puncher. why would a guy with a clear head keep getting dropped? because he has no energy in his body. look at some of the knockdowns they are hilarious. he's flailing around in slow motion.
4. you love floyd!:hitit:
I have never understood if you are fighting for a belt at 154 weather your the champ or challenger its just PU$$Y SHNIT to have someone come in at even 153 1/2 its psycological bullshnit or weightdraining what ever happened fighters being tough instead of moviestars I'm not ripping on anyone inparticular I'm just saying it's PU$$Y SHNIT
Who forced a 1/2 pound CW ?
Corrales was fine on fight night. He said making weight was never easy/fun but every guy says that save for like 3 of them

Like I said, some of you Floyd fans are in denial but everyone else knew that Diego was drained.
Comparing Broner to Floyd at lighter weights. Mosley said this after 2:50 mark
but Corrales has to lose 30lbs in 2 weeks ....his opposition people may say was better but were they really healthy
Go to 6:20 and you draw it up.

30 lbs in two weeks, lmao! How would Shane know?
We know that Manny did a few CWs when he moved up a division.
Why is Floyd doing it after already fighting twice at 154 and has a title at 154 and actually stating that having a fighter go down 2lbs would drain them then he actually does it himself when he agrees to drain, I mean CW Canelo to 152lbs? That is a more intriguing question.
but the odds was in oscar's favor, if i remember right......
Until it was known that he needed IV fluids to gain 2 pounds in 30hrs , Roach said he wont go 3 rounds when he found that out , the general public are about the hype of the great ODH against the little guy , they didn't know Oscar was in POW shape , they didn't know Manny was outweighing him , they didn't even know he looked like crap at 150 in the fight before and they sure as hell didn't know Roach was saying Im Oscars former trainer and he cant pull the trigger any more ..
Fight fans know all this , guys that really follow boxing , and Pac fanboys know all this but they just delusional kids .
It's not excuse. Stop being a idiot. It's true. Oscar was losing weight the wrong way instead of the conventional way.
But regardless had he done it the right way he was going to lose..nobody is denying that. And I don't even think Huey is mentioning sht about any other fight either.

Yeah I agree , Gods alter ego is karma and it comes down hard on fakes sooner or later .
Now you even need to pretend that I said something that obviously is not true.
Show me all the links where they said that they were drained. I can find several where they said that they were "stronger than Manny" .... even right after their weigh in.
Manny was moving up a division.
Cotto laughed at that idea as he said that he easily made 146 in his previous fight and Margarito was given 3lb bonus as he was a WW fighter. Cotto's post fight interview summed it all "Why I lost? Manny was just to fast that I couldn't see his punches".
The only reasons that one can question on those CWs was that they were for the title .... not because they were drained as they were not. So certainly it would have been better and more legit if they fought at the full limit of their respective divisions.
but as usual, you can't answer why Floyd did it when he admitted that 2lbs drains a fighter and Floyd already fought twice and currently has a 154 title.
Chico never stopped coming at Floyd. Drained guys don't do that.
Like I said, some of you Floyd fans are in denial but everyone else knew that Diego was drained.

Nice try but you are then in denial if you believe what you wrote. Diego was certainly weight drained in that fight.
Funny how you can say Oscar was but Diego wasn't even though there are many articles including quotes from Diego himself and even his conditioning coach years later ......
Years later, lmao.
Drained guys are Toney when he fought Tiberi, when Brown fought McGirt, when Pac fought Dlh. Drained guys are not like Chico when he fought Floyd.
Chico/Floyd was a superb boxer against a superb slugger, and the boxer emphatically won.
We know that Manny did a few CWs when he moved up a division , I just don't want to talk about Cotto saying he was drained and Manny ducking him not drained . I don't want to talk about Margo needing Diuretics to make weight , look just drop it , I don't want to talk about Hatton and his coke habit , or Oscar needing IV fluid infusions , I know they are the only superman Manny fights in his whole career , but that' was not because they were made to order drained opponents , lots of reasons caused all Mannys other healthy opponents to be major struggles , lots of reason !
The real reason was because God gave him cramps , me and Manny think as one I know whats going on I can spot a cramp a mile away .
Yeah I agree , Gods alter ego is karma and it comes down hard on fakes sooner or later .
So that's your answer totally ignoring Mannys CWs like they don't exist , your a joke .

lol , look who popped in ...... Actually you are the KING when it comes to this subject (CWs and weight draining). You looked down on CWs until Floyd did it again with Canelo. Now CWs are OK! I wonder why? lol
Don't tell me that you too can't admit that Diego was weight drained?

Everybody is weight drained except Mannys CW opponents , just pitiful fanboyism at its finest .

1. Oscar- Manny wasnt a catchweight
2. Oscar was going down in weight regardless if he fought manny, it could have been hatton, floyd rematch, etc
3. Oscar drained himself too much,, he should have come in at 147 not 145,,,
4. Oscar was trying to relive his past greatness of being the bigger guy, destroying lightweights,, like he did leija, ruelas, chavez, genaro, etc.... In those fights, oscar looked and fought like a monster,,, he was trying to relive that,,, It backfired,,,,
5. MAnny didnt force oscar to do anything,, this was all oscar's fault,, tried to pick on a little guy and it backfired....
