Can somebody please tell the dude he can't use that shoulder roll defense to save his freakin life? He will get laid out in his next fight for sure if he don't stop doing that dumb shit.
Stop trying to be Floyd and fight your own style, otherwise he will continue to rack up the L's...:nonono:
maidana is slicker and blacker than berto

maidana 100% moves his head better than berto. his issue is handspeed and walking forward. he's an easy target, especially when he loads up. berto's hands are still fast enough to make him difficult to counter, his problem is that he's an idiot.
Cause he's black...
And I mean that literally... He's black, with fast hands, he originally thought he needed to be Sugar Ray Leonard, but he's too flat footed, so now he thinks he needs to be Floyd Mayweather
In the end, at best, we're talking a welterweight Tyson, which I think he could have pulled off quite well
Because he knows that when he bangs toe-to-toe he's just as likely to loose as he is to win, so I assume he thinks because he has good reflexes, he has good defense and can be slick.
He's about as slick as Shane ****in Mosley.
Bertos problem is stamina. He's wound up too tight and he's burning energy and putting a mental strain on himself in the ring. He can't relax. That happened to Jermaine Taylor as well. It's not the training because these guys are in shape.
His stamina issues are also caused by his muscular build and persistence on putting 100% into each shot.
It is plain as day that Berto's body composition is made up of far too much explosive muscle. Having such a muscular physique requires copious amounts of oxygen to provide energy. This means that he is always getting gassed as his demand for oxygen increases also making the supply of oxygen going to the brain less and less, meaning he has a harder time thinking rationally which means he panics and reverts back to his usual mistakes/uneconomic style.
He would benefit from doing some light weights with slow repetitions to shed some fast twitch muscle and gain some muscular endurance. He would lose a little bit of speed but he would be able to go 12.
Berto clearly just trains for pure speed/explosiveness and he really shouldn't. He also needs to learn that you don't have to throw everything 100%.

Completely agree his stamina is shit.
I think Berto saw the shoulder roll was working for Broner so he wanted to try it but he's not having the same success with it he needs to stop using it

i liked how he said UH UH and shook his head after getting hit flush in the face by a right hand that he was supposed to roll.
I love when fighters do that.
It's funny because it's supposed to be effective against the right hand, yet he just kept leaning back and allowing Soto-Karass's right hand to gain even more leverage and connect every time.
Probably taken too many headshots, that or he is not focused at all in the ring. My uncle always told me, you fight the way you train. In this fight, it seems like he wanted to stop doing it and i actually heard Virgil Hunter in the corner telling him to stop as well but he just couldn't because of old bad habits. He must spar like that all the time and it transfers to the ring out of muscle memory. I remember how i first found it ridiculous when he fought Collazo a while back (a fight i didn't think he won by the way) and he was doing it then, and because of how much he got tagged and hurt, i just knew i wouldn't see it again. He literally have used it in all of his fights since. He just strikes me as someone who doesn't really have a brain for boxing and got where they are now, because of that natural talent they were born with, kind of like Jermaine Taylor and my boy Dawson. You can only go so far like that until it catches up with you.
I honestly think Berto is finished. There ain't no fixing him...no trainer in the world can fix him. Khan is walking proof that a trainer can only do so much. I give Berto his props for fighting on while injured but it ain't like he was gonna win anyway.
I mean he can make more $ fighting on, but he's just gonna keep losing to GBP's young hard hitting WW's. He's made more money than a fighter of his caliber EVER should have made. He just walk away. You can't beat JSK, you will never be elite. You lost to the gatekeeper, he's now the designated "opponent".

I don't want to see Berto on the big stage again, his heart was commendable but that's it. The fact that Khan looked like hot garbage against Molina and Diaz tells me all I need to know about his stubbornness, I want Alexander to end him, he needs to go away as well. Devon, though he quit against Bradley and got some gift decisions, at least he has some skills, decent defense.
