I find it amusing how people are acting like there has never been a dodgy decision in boxing.
Obvious things in boxing.
- Don't give the referee a chance to call it off , get up on 8 or earlier. Its enough time to gather yourself and the ref can't call it early then.
- When fighting in a different country, the judges are most often biased so you are either going to have to win the fight convincingly or KO the opponent.
- If you have been given a gift in your last fight you need to win the next fight convincingly, judges do feel pressure & bias like any other human.
- Body punches rarely ever get counted by judges so don't expect to win a fight based solely on those.
- Fighters often do steal rounds by late flurries in the last 30 seconds of the round so watch out for that
- If you are not the draw or a a cash cow, don't expect judges to give you the nod in a closely fought contest
I'm not saying its right, i'm saying it happens & it happens regularly.
Feel free to elaborate.....
pure class on display daily at the Boxing Scene, where do they come from and why do they keep them? Atleast these new guys speak with integrity........... Rockin':boxing:

That's why it's always imperative that the winner wins decisively and never let anyone dictate the outcome of the fight. The fans would even love you for it. It's guaranteed entertainment.
I'll get you an autographed picture sent out really soon, I love my fans........... Rockin':boxing:
Only thing you're rockin on is your boyfriends dick.

Loser mentality. Imagine if blacks kept on going to the back of the bus with this mind frame.

Completely agree with this. I think the judging bias is usually unconscious, although no less real because of that.
In regards to the body punches I think the obvious problem is being able to tell on first sight, as it happens, whether the punch landed or hit the elbow and arm. A clean punch to head often snaps the head back or rotates it to side but a clean body punch that doesn't elicit an obvious response from the victim will cast doubt about whether it actually landed clean or not.

It is amusing that people like you find dodgy boxing decisions amusing. It's the outcry that keeps boxing from going totally shyte. But I guess some people do get off on shyte.
Compu-Box body punch stats should only be verified, in triple certificate form, by Rockin.
Because lord knows, nobody can verify a true body shot like him.
Nobody knows shit, except Jackie and the Galaxy.
Everybody, log off.
Because he is going to talk shit about a forum that he has multiple thousands of posts on, with the added bonus of people he knows that talk shit about the same boxing forum he has multiple thousands of posts on.
I mean, divide by zero? Impossible, you say?
Rockin disproves this theory every time he posts on here.
I was a judge and scored every clear body shot that I ever saw landed.
I want to stay in the loop here only because you told me to leave, as a matter of fact I shall subscribe to this thread with it's obvious brilliance.
Any fighter that fights that way, only throwing body punches in bouts, would have to be ignorant, suicidal or just that good. Don't count on the 'just that good' part to come any time soon.
Good body work will open things up that were not open without it.
lol, you may vacate the thread now.......... Rockin':boxing:
Why do you repeat yourself when i've obviously understood your point yet you don't mine.
Go away you creep.
Don't try to play romper room, get called on it, try to play kissey face, and not expect to get two pieced when the ref calls the fight back into action.
I mean, there are people paying 70$ for this shit.
Your words are full of obvious wisdom and insight. please enlighten us more on the worthlessnes of good body work in boxing. You work a body over hard and it's amazing what opens up behind it....... Rockin':boxing:
I completely understand that you need body work to tire an opponent & break them down mentally.
But if you are punching the body all fight & neglect the head, dont think JUDGES are going to give you the nod.
You misunderstand my post so leave this thread :)
