for those who have never seen the 'the wrap' that was allegedly tampered.... it's gauze, and it looks like gauze... it's not a 'brick' like nazim richardson described.....
it had 'residue' of a 'plaster-like' substance.... that could have come off anything.... now, that was enough to validate the claim.... but truth is it wasn't a substantial amount.... an officer @ the nevada state athletic commission said the amount found on the gauze was comparable to a 'pinch of salt'....
and also bare in mind it was only found in one hand-wrap....
cotto lost against margarito.... because margarito was better, stronger, bigger....
now stfu.
How ****in hilarious would it be if Michelle snitched all of Margs cheating ways and tactics? Marg fans and trolls would evaporate in a heart beat. I'm waiting for the day Michelle gets frustrated with her child support and alimony amounts and let's loose.
:lol1::lol1:
this is what margarito's power actually looks like.
yeah just look at even the first minute and a half... the punches margarito throws are arm punches even versus Cotto... he doesn't turn them over that good and thats probably the reason he had such great stamina, normally high stamina guys that don't put much into their punches can't really put their opponents away.
Margarito was throwing arm punches against Cotto yet doing devastating damage to Cotto and hurting him not in a jelly legged way like we saw previously with Ricardo Torres and Demarcus Corley but in a brutal fashion much like being hit with a hard object rather than fists
Watching retards trying to defend Margacheato's "innocence" when the guy was clearly caught by nazim and banned.
"In late January, the California State Athletic Commission suspended Margarito and his trainer, Javier Capetillo, pending investigation. At the hearing, Margarito claimed he did not know what was in the wraps, while Capetillo admitted to making "a big mistake" by placing the wrong inserts into Margarito's hand wraps."
"Didn't know what was in my handwraps" LMAO

What ever it was it should not have been in his gloves anyway.
Don't forget that Capetillo took all the blame and most of the fall.
Arum is a good attorney and if the allegation wasn't true they would had mad millions suing the Atlethic Commision
I call BS on this one and I love Margarito. He used a well-know substance known as Plaster of Paris, which is a crystalized salt that hardens like thin plaster. I have seen a dude wrap his hands in a boxing gym and an old timer apply it to his wraps to show what it looks and feels like about 18-20 years ago myself.
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
I'm not saying that you're a liar or that your memory has failed you but....I refer you to the Boxing Illustrated-Cleveland Williams experiment that I've just mentioned in a post just above. I'm sure it must be on the internet. I myself have the original magazine in which it was described.
The FIRST Commission guy in the dressing room to handle the gauze pad said that it was "slightly stiff in a few spots as if there has been drops of water".
He wasn't banned because he didn't get the chance to use the hardening gauze.
Did you never hear of the experiment with Plaster-of-Paris done by Boxing Illustrated attended by 50 experts and conducted by Cleveland Williams to prove or disprove Jack Kearns' accusation that he plastered Jack Dempsey's gloves before the Wiillard fight.
It was immediately DIS-proven as the wraps, well lathered with plaster and well dried, began to crumble to powder inside the gloves after the first 2 punches on the heavy bag.
People like you should be allowed to post only through a fact-checker.
He had a doctors note. And op why did marg look like **** in his next fight vs non bums. I might be wrong here but did his trainer admit to putting in there vs Mosley?
The trainer said it was his fault and Margarito was not aware. He said that his bag was full of all sorts of junk and was always left open in the gym where guys would occasionally drop their used gauze pads in when they'd finished workouts.
And the whole damned thing was about a USED gauze pad. Nothing more. it was technically illegal not to use a new one. That was IT. The ignorant clowns on this site make me sick.
That double-bellied porker Richardson was doing his little Sherlock Holmes stunt again to get a little more PR and cause trouble, just because he could.
Oh boy, people still defending this cheater? He got caught trying to cheat vs Mosley and he blamed it on his trainer. I remember when Cotto vs Margarito 2 was going down, Margarito clearly said "He didn't know" and "He hasn't spoken to his ex trainer since that happened". Just put this in your head for a second. Look how much Margarito landed on P.Williams and look at his face. Look how much Mosley landed on Cotto and look at Cotto's face at the end of the fight. Now all of a sudden Cotto looks like his face ran through a blender after he fought Margarito? Mind you that Mosley ends up TKO Magarito right after... Evidence suggest he cheated vs Cotto.
that doesn't prove anything
peterson was never suspended
Peterson was involved with synthetic testosterone. AND...he lost one of his titles. So you are wrong for several reasons.

At last a man with sense and decency. As well the documents said that there were traces (meaning minute amounts) of 2 of the ingredients of Plaster-of-Paris. The report further said that these components were extremely common and could be found in most kitchens around the world. It also said that the ingredients were used extensively in cosmetics..... A couple of laboratories who were involved speculated about a drying powder.
Anyway, Margarito was found not guilty by the Commission but was penalised because they said he was the head of his team. Some of the Commission during the deliberations wanted to exonerate him completely.
Has it never occurred to you hound-dogs that the reason Arum supported him even against one of his two top money-makers, was because, as a lawyer he could see that the guy was innocent. It was his duty to stand behind him.
Thomas Hauser's piece is still the best article written on this.

some keys quotations:
'CSAC inspector David Pereda, who was in the room, later testified, “Naazim opened the gauze and pulled something out of it. He showed us what appeared to be an old gauze which had been used before and hardened from perhaps being sweaty and wet many times.”
Inspector Guevara testified, “It was a clean new bandage. But within it, in the inner layers of it, was another bandage wrap. It was not as white as a new bandage wrap would be. It was used and it looked almost like it was sweat soaked and that’s what caused it to have the discoloration. It was harder in certain areas than it should be for pure gauze. It was definitely firm and hard. I believe there was a little bit of, it looked like old blood, on it.”
Mike Bray (an inspector who entered the dressing room during the dispute) recalled, “I observed what appeared to be a blood stain on the corner of the pad. I also noticed that it was moist and dirty-looking. The pad had the appearance that it had been used before. After looking at the pad closer, I could see a white substance smeared across the face of the pad and into the gauze. I touched the white substance, and it was hard to touch. It looked like a cast plaster or maybe a thicker type of white out that you would put on paper.”'

because the gauze isn't allowed to be wet or have anything on them....
the gauze, was damp....
