I'll start, Amir Khan, is one fighter who is brave, people can hate this man all they want but he is too brave for his own good, sometimes he doesn't live in reality and wants to fight all the hard punchers for some reason.
You have to give him credit he might have a shakey chin but the guy has heart, and a warrior spirit, he just can't bust a grape.
Drop guys who are too brave for their own good.
No you're absolutely right
The body's natural reaction for most people when taking a big shot is to go to sleep or drop as the brain shuts down to protect itself
We idolize iron chins yet mock 'glass chins' when really most people would get dropped in the same fashion or even worse than say fighters like Khan.
Next up for such a beating is Rios vs Pac. No fun getting skull smashed for 12 rounds. Risk brain damage or a brain Hemorrhage with brain swelling nearly always occuring. Watch Matthysse Vs Soto, Soto tough as sh*t but looked like he was about to die after Lucas dropped him from a sustained beating.
Oh okay thanks for clearing that up for me. I remember watching Irish Micky Ward and Paulie take those beatings back in the day and thinking "This is not good for their health."
I don't Micky is punch drunk though. Which is suprising, because he defense was basically his chin. That guy could take an amazing shot.
Sometimes I think being unbelievably tough and having an iron chin might be a bad thing. Taking a 12 round beating might be worse than a quick KO. I could be wrong.

Don't mistake bravery with an inability to box on the inside.
I think guys like Jose Luis Castillo are too brave for their own good. The guy is still boxing even though he's been shot for about 7 years. Every punch must be rocking him to his bones. Margarito was crazy brave in the Pacquiou fight.
