After last night impressive KO of Macklin, I think it is time for Golovkin to step up to much more prime and elite fighters of the middleweight division!
I will be including boxers mainly from Middleweight Division but also will be including some of the lots from Jr. Middleweight and Super Middleweight aswell.
I'm high on GGG and will be supporting him to the end. I think he should clear out the middleweight division first before taking on the guys from different weight classes.
Middleweight:
1. Daniel Geale
2. Peter Quillin
3. Julio Cesar chavez Jr.
4. Martin Murray
5. Darren Barker
6. Sergio Martinez
7. Pirog? (If this guy ever gets over his injuries)
Possilble Jr. Middleweight fight:
1. Canelo (or @160?)
2. Floyd @ 154?
3. Trout (He wanted to come up in weight?)
Super Middleweight:
1. Andre Ward (I'll admit Ward would KO GGG)
2. Lucian Bute (First fight @ 168 :D)
3. Carl Froch
4. Mikkel Kessler
That all for now at Super Middleweight! Although that was a bit too much. GGG priority should be cleaning out the Middleweight division for now.
All we have to wait for these fight to made whilst all ducking and dodging to be done, promoters' egos, HBO and Showtime clashes so forth.
Get his face in the portrait of the 5 fighters on this forum.
Possibly taking B-Hops place.
Or.. or taking place Martinez's place once he defeats him :D
Would love to see Golovkin fight Geale and Murray this year. Than possibly Sergio next year. Than move up.
Ya Murray beat Martinez so go after Murray to try and get a lineal claim, then Geale/Barker winner for another belt. If he did that he would be on par with Martinez in my eyes, Martinez is the one who would need to fight him.
I think Kid Chocolate fight would be the most dramatic one. Quillin got some nice power to be honest and great boxing skills.
lol not really. njikam won most of the rounds with ease.
Quillin's with Golden Boy who refuses to work with HBO so there goes that.
Martinez' manager just said that Martinez will NOT fight GGG so there goes that.
I'd like to see GGG vs Chavez Jr any Murray.
quillin, chavez jr., geale, murray, and hopefully martinez are the fights i want for him. i'm not a fan of this weight climbing/dropping sh*t. i like when divisions have kings.
Dude Ward doesn't need to become KO artist to KO Golovkin. GGG tend to get hit and Ward going to capitalise on that throughout the fight with his skills. What do you think going to happen if you get hit all the time.
Ward would actually be able to hit GGG and not get hit back much and I see him stopping him too

Agree that he should stay at middle and go through those guys. As for the rest, well I don't think ward would KO him but I do see him beating him. Froch would be a fantastic fight.
1. I can't see Chavez lasting in there with GGG if he eats as many shots as he did against the less powerful Martinez. Maybe he won't get knocked out, but his corner or the doctor will stop it on swelling and cuts.
2. Don't think a whole lot of people would bet on Ward by KO. No, you don't have to be a knockout artist to knock someone out, but Ward's style and temperament hardly spell out a KO of a solid chinned fighter coming up in weight (ie not drained like Dawson, and even then it was a TKO ref stoppage/Dawson allegedly quitting).
my wishlist would be a fight with JCC jr, followed by a martinez fight. maybe a ward fight after that if he doesn't feel like ruling MW for years to come. if he stays at middle, a canelo fight would be awesome after jcc jr and martinez.
Ward would never KO the "Good boy" maker. I think Geale will be a good fight, as it's probably the one fight which will go to the distance IMO. Darren Barker, I don't think he will last that long. Murray will get KO'd he was very uncomfortable last night on Sky Sports, and Quillin would just jab and move the whole fight, no way he is trading with GGG. The only guy I think who has a decent chance against GGG is Chavez and that is only due to his ability to take Punishment and punching power.
Then Chavez is making a serious mistake. It isn't same thing as eating shot all night from Martinez.
