ok we get it floyd is a ducker and he will never fight golovkin. but moving on to reality, who's next? some interesting names, i like froch. theres also bika, ward, and mebbe a guy like geale or chavez jr. im not thinking any mws wanna jump in the ring with golovkin rite now. he did mention moving down to jmw but with that said, they arent gonna fight him either. so his best bet is 160 or 168.
I watched sky sports coverage of this fight and they had both Barker and Murrey in the studio. So they where talking about what they just saw... Man they both where errr... impressed. When Murrey was asked "so what is needed to beat this guy?" he's answer was "Take a a baseball bat in the ring"
I would like to see him fight Pirog or Murray next.
I think Golovkin vs the Barker/Geale fight is a garbage fight.
Pirog is irrelevant right now, he has so much work to do.
ggg vs martin murray ... murray imo beat sergio but got robbed, so he is the real ring/wbc champ at 160..
if ggg beats murray then it would solidify him as the absolute best at 160...
I'd be happy with this fight

It was a play on Tyson's infamous "fade into Bolivian" comment
Mike Tyson never said "fade into Bolivian".
I know Mike slurs his words sometimes but what he said then was he is gonna "fade into oblivion"
Can we just line up every contender and champ and have GGG plow through them in one night? Probably still would come out to about 12 rounds, maybe 15 at most.
I have to admit, I had my reservations about GGG, but he knocked them out when he knocked Macklin out last night.
I'm not certain moving down to 154 is gonna prolong his career. Carlos Molina, Trout and Lara are willing to fight anyone. Angulo is there for him too, and we've seen Canelo go his own route when asking for the Trout fight.
mora would fight him. would be a hard fight for golovkin imo. might even kill some of the luster.
i agree he'd give GGG an uglier more awkward fight than most of the mw top 10. and i know he's willing, just doubt he's willing on a short money non hbo date abroad
I see a stay busy fight in sept-oct with an Hbo date for nov/dec...
Stay busy fight back home or in germany i would look for a Jermain taylor, kirkland, or maybe even Felix sturm...
In the hbo fight at the end of the year i would like to see barker/geale winner, murray or pirog
Sturm has ducked before and he'd do it again, and nobody wants to see Taylor get disconnected from his senses. Kirkland would be crazy enough to take it, but he'd also get KTFO. Mora wants to get back into the ring in September, so hopefully he gets offered good money and takes the opportunity.

i'd like to see him move up in weight. frequent fights against the best @ MW would suffice until martinez gets back, but i don't think these guys will fight him. the martinez fight is literally years away, at best. it's unfortunate, but that guy is the champion of the world and badly injured.
i honestly can't see martinez fighting golovkin. he'll retire. golovkin would knock his head off. he doesn't have the legs to win that fight any more.
I think it's the Barker/Geale winner.
Why else would it be on HBO?
Setting up a potential fight between the two
Because it's a good fight. If Barker wins he's not fighting Golovkin, Hearn made that clear, ditto Froch. Geale has been reluctant in the past too.
Sakio Bika and Martin Murray are probably the most likely to sign up for a payday.
