Just out of those 3 recent fights, what do you think was the worst robbery and/or the closest fight which either fighter could be given the W?
Paulie Malignaggi vs Adrien Broner
Sergio Martinez vs Martin Murray
J'Leon Love vs Gabriel Rosado
Biggest Robbery?
I didnt think Paulie beat Broner to a point of taking the fight,he was very busy,he didnt run away from Broners advances to fight..But i would've respected a draw instead of the judges just stealing the man's belt.Martinez v Murray i feel the same way,i feel the opponent needs to pitch a hands down shutout against a champ to rightfully take ownership of their belt.My all time biggest fight robbery to date was definitely Felix Sturm vs Oscar Delahoya, complete F#@^ery!
Anyone who thinks that Paulie won dosen't know anything about judging a pro fight!!! Simply as that!!
I thought Sergio lost but it was close!!!!
The other bout I didn't see. Ray.
Broner fight wasn't even that close tbh. It was just closer than it should have been for Broner. I have him winning 8 rounds.
Murray did not get robbed against Martinez. That was a close fight, but Murray did absolutely nothing in the first 5 rounds. He came on in the second half of the fight, but I think Sergio still won more rounds overall. The KD that wasn't counted wasn't a legit KD. Looked like their feet got tangled up to me. and Murray hit him behind the head anyway. It was a close fight, but I thought Sergio did enough to win. He closed stongly in the last 2 rounds to take it.
Love-Rosado probably should have gone to Rosado, but it's a no contest now anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter
Broner-Malignaggi wasn't a robbery, I can;t even really make a realistic 100% case for Paulie winning. I gave Paulie rounds 1, 2, 4, and 12. Maybe you can find a close round between 5-11 to give him, even then it's 115-113 Broner, and you'd really have to give him another one of those rounds, which I can't, to make it a draw.
That being said, big Broner fan, but he looked bad in that fight. Not quite as high on him as before. We'll see what happens, he's no Mayweather. But if you count the clean punches and effective punching, Broner took that fight and it was competitive, many close rounds, but a clear win for him.
The other two cold have gone either way. I thought Love may have won enough rounds to get the W anyway, and I felt Murray did enough with the KD to win.
I think that Broner Malignaggi should have gone the way of Martinez Murray.
When a champ defends, if the fight is close then the champ keeps his belt. You have to win with more authority than what Murray or for that matter Broner displayed.
The other KD was not scored in that Sergio fight and won the fight for him .7-5.:boxing::boxing::boxing:
I know what I saw though. The fact that they didn't score a blatant knockdown just makes it an even worse decision. Murray won the fight with or without the knockdown. He completely neutralised Sergio's offence, landed more punches overall and landed many more clean effective punches. Sergio fan here but he lost that fight.
Martin Murray vs Martinez was the worst decision out of those. Murray pretty much outboxed Martinez all night and knocked him down twice but still didn't get the verdict.
Next would be Rosdado vs Love.
Paulie vs Broner wasn't a robbery or even a bad decision. It was a lot closer than I expected though.

Agreed with that, share same thoughts!
Rosado got robbed because he was fighting against Mayweathers puppet.
Broner got the nod for the complete obvious reason that he is Broner he is supported by crooked guys in boxing and he is hyped up to be the next big thing plus he generates a bit of money.
Watching the post fight press was the most shoddiest thing I've ever seen, try and sell the hype after their fighter clearly didn't do enough.
The funny thing being If the shoe was on the other foot and It was Malignaggi looking to counter punch and Broner looking to throw with sheer volume...
People would then be talking about how he won by work-rate, controlled the fight, made the fight and was clearly the guy who fought like he wanted to earn that title... but no the guy who was more focused on posing up for the camera and shrugging his shoulders got the nod, this is boxing for you If you're a prospect they will do anything to protect you.
Hypocrites, simple as that.
Broner beat Paulie in a close fight, period 7-5.
Sergio barely beat Murray(the other KD that was not scored was the difference in the fight) without it...Sergio 7-5.
Rosado won 6 rounds vs Love and had a 10-8 round to boot .Love looked awful and cheated to make weight. That was a horrible decision.:boxing::boxing::boxing:
1. Malignaggi-Broner *robbery
2. Love-Rosado *robbery
3. Martinez-Murray *could have gone either way

I'm not even a fan of Broner but he won comfortable, 8-4.
First 4 rounds i had Paulie 3-1 up & the next round i have him was the 10th.
Martinez vs Murray was close but i scored it Martinez, think by 1 point & Love-Rosado was close as well & i scored it for Rosado.
I had the Malignaggi fight scored the exact same way

I did not think any of these fights could be consider a robbery tbh..They were all close fights imo..I had Rosado beating Love, and Murray beating Martinez..Not by a lot tho, very close fights..I thought Broner Paulie M was close but a clear win for Broner imo..
