What would the divisions look like if fighters fought at or around their natural weight? By that I mean, if fighters didn't try and cut a lot of weight, but rather dedicated themselves to a year-round regimen and stayed in shape. Personally, I think that boxing would have a crazy amount of talent between super-middleweight and light-middleweight--not to mention a lot of interesting fights. What do you all think?
floyd, pacquiao, marquez would all still be welters.
That's true. But what about all the fighters at light welterweight? I think most of them would be fighting up at 154. At welterweight, fighters like Ortiz, Thurman, and Berto would probably be fighting at 160.
99% of fighters would just move north 15lb. The ones that are already in shape all the time and don't drain would feel like king kong fighting the naturally same sized guys.
