Boxing does not really sellout big arenas unless there are the big names fighting. Lol, remember when Bradley v Alexander barely sold anything? That SHOULD have sold out. UFC stack their cards mostly (a few of the next ones are weak) compared to Boxing. For Boxing let's be honest guys, we're here to see the main event mostly unless you're a hardcore(!) in the UFC you have great fights on the undercard with relevant names and always on the main card. They hold a few events every month and sell out. The UFC is big and it's growing globally, it's stalled in America though. Abroad it does GREAT honestly, a lot better than it does in America.
I dont think that many tickets were actually available because @ 1:01 Tuesday ticketmaster didn't have any a old promoter told me brokers have deals with promoters for so many tickets before they officially are available
I have to add in that the UFC holds events at the big stadiums and sell out or hold a good 1O to 20 thousand people compared to boxing events that seem to rarely hold shows in big stadiums but rather the small venue casinos that hold 3 to 5 thousand.......so there is a difference.
People need to stop comparing the two sports
I'm pretty sure MMA is dead and their fans who aren't in denial are already flocking to boxing in droves. You can probably find them among Broner, Garcia, and Guerrero fans.
Don't get me wrong coz I fuc ks with mma but lol @ fools saying boxing is dead
