So I wake up in the morning today and finally watch Broner vs Malignaggi and don't know the result yet so I score the rounds. And guess what, Broner won this fight so clearly it's unreal. And then Paulie says as always that he got robbbed in the postfight interview (I almost fall off the stool when he says that), then I come on boxingscene and see the poll which says most people felt Paulie won this fight. And this is where it gets totally unreal.
Here is my scorecard:
Round 1: Malignaggi (CLOSE!!)
Round 2: Malignaggi (CLOSE!!)
Round 3: Broner
Round 4: Malignaggi
Round 5: Broner
Round 6: Draw
Round 7: Broner
Round 8: Broner
Round 9: Broner
Round 10: Broner
Round 11: Broner
Round 12: Broner

Total Score: 117:112 Broner
How can ANYONE say with a straight face that Malignaggi won this fight?? I was the first one to say Malignaggi got robbed against Juan Diaz in their first fight. But this time? Are you kidding me? Broner was landing all the clean, hard shots from the 4th round on and outclassed Malignaggi.
And this is coming from a guy who likes Paulie and hates Broner. Do you guys know how I would have liked it if Broner would have lost the fight or even get knocked out? I HATE Broner.
And still: Broner totally CLEARLY won this fight. Nothing close AT ALL after the 4th round.
Why do you guys see what you see? Is it the fact that Paulie showboats while Broner lands clean, hard shots all night long?? This is just SHOWBOATING. He is still losing big and he knows it.
I've seen this fight in my head before it happened. If Paulie survives the distance, he wins. That's exactly what happened. AB winning this fight is by KO only. Didn't happen. Granting that AB punches were solid, they were very few. Not really enough to win a fight. It's a massive robbery.
I guess body work is not scoring anymore. Paulie for his legs not being what they used to fought one hell of a fight. I loved the way he mixed it up threw combinations to the body and would pop broner with the jab. It was great to see Paulie walk him down late too. Did y'all notice that broner never countered when Paulie backed him up and broners vaunted inside game wasn't that great either.
I had it 7-5 to Broner, but fights like this are always hard to score. Also, Broner should most definitely have had a point taken away, possibly two. Broner should not carry on at WW though. The top guys at 140 would most likely beat him, so he has some thinking to do. He doesnt strike me as a particularly disciplined guy, so moving back to 135 could also be tough.
i think u should rewatch. broner landed almost exclusively power punches. paulies head got snapped back plenty. sure there were rounds where he didnt do much, but the power was there in most rounds. paulie spent a lot of time flurrying for no reason. really imo, it depends on who u are rooting for to most uneducated ppl. ppl like to say alexander lost to kotelnyk but that fight was a mirror image of this one. alexander spent a lot of time flurrying and kot landed all the significant punches. but most swear it was an alexander robbery.
who said he didn't land power punches?what im saying is his power punches didn't really do much so why does one fighter get so much credit for landing what are considered power punches but you sre still not hurting your opponent?
paulie landed more punches on broner than alexander on kotelnik and just like that fight this fight was close to me, it could of went either way. i thought paulie outlanded broner in most rounds but broner landed the eye catching punches but was still bein out worked and was never really able to stop paulie from doin what he was doin
i had it 7-5 broner but it could of been 7-5 paulie.some people are talking about broner landing the harder shots but to me there were not that many maybe 3-4 a round a couple of his other punches would get blocked not everything broner threw landed and even tho broner landed the harder shots they didn't really do anything to paulie so i don't know why someone should get so much credit for landing 3 hard shots a round that is not even hurting your opponent

Pro scoring 8 to 4 Broner!
Amatuer scoring 6 to 6 Draw!
Seems theres alot of people who can't distinguish between the two scoring outlines!! Is a shame so many people who mthink they know the sport don't know what to look for while judging!!
Effective Agression is more important than light jabs! That was the main difference between the boys and the fact the Paulie was backing away from confrontation all night. That tells everyone he felt Broners punches. If he didn't he could have tried to take center ring and dictate to Broner!
Easy fight to judge 8 to 4 Broner! Ray
Activity doesn't count anymore i guess.
Or stopping your opponent from throwing either.

Why ever block a punch if its going to be counted. 90% of paulies puncges were blocked or slipped.
So it doesn't hurt as much? I didn't see that many punches slip, there were plenty blocked but Broner didn't look hard to find.
Do these guys all hate Broner too? (apologies to anyone who has already watched this vid, just wanted to show irl views)
Paulie missed with over 600 punches? I doubt those stats to be honest, it felt like Paulie couldnt miss for most of the night but he just wasn't hurting Broner. Maybe they weren't counting arm/shoulder shots or something.

Do a simple google search to see the compubox numbers. They're indeed real! Broners defense was incredible & Paulie has god like stamina.
However everyones hatred of Broner will cloud everyone....they will talk up Paulies pit pat activity and act like that's enough to win a fight

Compubox Numbers
Paulie threw 843 TOTAL PUNCHES and LANDED 214 (25%)
Broner threw 524 TOTAL PUNCHES and LANDED 246 (47%)
As you can see, Broner threw over 300 less punches but landed 32 more punches than Paulie.

Broner won but he got exposed. Look at what Cotto did to a young, fast malinaggi. Brother got exposed as a good fighter but there are many good fighters. He needs to stay away from Floyd, canelo, etc.
dude, why would Broner suddenly fight Canelo? Broner jumped frm 130 to 135 not too long ago and now he jumped another 2 weight classes to 147. And now he should fight guys who fought and beat full fledged 154 pounders?

People don't like Broner so any close round will sway to Paulie. Broner won the fight, I myself had it 8 rounds to 4. It doesn't surprise me that people are upset since boxing has arguably the worst fanbase of all the sports. Just a bunch a cry babies and nationalistic pricks.
You've been proven an idiot before, so i'm not going to respond to this ^.
