I think this fight makes the most sense for both fighters.
Broner is still a bit GREEN; however, he wants to be in the fast lane. Judah is a bit over the hill now. After salvaging his career by going the distance with Danny Garcia, he is still a player for one more big fight.
I think the fight make sense for both fighters. It should be easy to make and I think Zab Judah has enough appeal to make this possibly a lucrative fight for Showtime.
Any thoughts?
Nah sorry, Judah is a bum, dude is the defintion of a cab driver.
Stop trying to give Broner a easy fight, let him fight someone about something.
Judah fails at every major fight he has had.
I think this is a good match-up. Broner will fire Judah up with his pre-fight stupidity.
I don't see him being able to hurt Judah...interesting match-up but id prefer maidana
Judah may not deserve it, but it seems that most boxing fans aren't taking Broner's age or "green-ness" into consideration.
This was the KID'S first time going 12 rounds. I'm already seeing threads matching him against Pacman and Mayweather.
LMAO! Really?
Please, stop with the 'he-yung-do'. He was boasting about being a 3 weight world champion, so age and being green should be a moot point.
Amateurs and pros are different, but it does help prepare, the degree of how much is debatable.
Michel Rosales was Alvarez' 27th opponent FYI.
On the Judah discussion, he just clearly beat a WW champion in his hometown. Was it easy? No, but that doesn't mean fight another small guy. Fight someone your size and adjust your style, something he did not do tonight.
Would you pick Rosales to beat Paulie Malinaggi? And I admit I don't know who the hell Michel Rosales is.
As far as Zab Judah is concerned, do you really feel Broner is that much bigger than Judah? Broner is a career Jr. Lightweight. Judah has never fought lower than 140 and fought legends like Cotto and Mayweather at 147.
I don't think Judah would be giving up too much weight against Broner.
I look at Broner as a project. He just needs to shut up and stop talking like he's a veteran already.
You make a small point with the amateur arguement; however, it is null and void when you take into consideration the vast difference between amateur boxing and pro boxing.
No head gear. Glove size. Different point system. Age difference of boxers.
So like I said, who was Canelo fighting in his 27th pro fight? Now compare that guy to Paulie Malinaggi.
And regarding Broner fighting a JWW... his last fight before tonite was at 135. Tonite was the first time the kid went 12 rounds. Why throw him to the sharks already?
It took Canelo 50 something pro fights to be considered ready to fight a 36 year old Floyd Mayweather. Some still feel Canelo is too green.

Amateurs mean nothing? Canelo had 20 total amateur fights, Broner went 300-19. That counts for something, Canelo learned as pro, Broner fine tuned. Big difference.
Beat Matthysse? He got a gift. Why shouldn't Broner fight a WW? He just fought a tiny WW with no punch, it's time to take some risk.

Honestly a rematch with Reese makes the most sense after this sh// lol
Ahah! Wouldn't even be surprised if that happened...or a rematch with Ponce but Broner gets to come in at 147.
So total fights don't mean anything? Tell me who Canelo was fighting in his 27th pro fight. Now match that guy against Paulie Malinaggi.
Think before you **** ride the next man's post..

Zab beat the "NSB ALL TIME LEGEND" Lucas Matthyse. That should earn him lifetime props on this forum.
On this forum it goes:
1. Sugar Ray Robinson
2. Muhammed Ali
3. Lucas Matthyse

What did Shane Mosley or Joseito Lopez do to earn a shot at Canelo?
Nothing.
But it's okat b/c Canelo was still green and looking to gain experience.
The same path should be used for Broner. People just want to see Broner destroyed ASAP.
No, Canelo fighting Mosley/Lopez was NOT alright. But seeing as how young "stars" have been fighting past-prime/faded opponents for the longest, I guess we have to just accept such a bullshit match-up. I'm tired of old fighters with names getting recycled to be used as stepping stones.
Gotta love how Zab loses AGAIN, and is already being talked about for Garcia and Alvarado. Broner should fight Maidana next, Judah is step back against a JWW when he just won a WW title.

Canelo is the same age.
He's fighting a guy named Floyd Mayweather next....
Canelo is the same age but he has like 20 more pro fights than Broner.
Who was Canelo fighting in his 27th fight??
Lame fight.
Realistic and better fights for AB are:
Maidana
Thurman
Guerrero
Ortiz
Garcia/Mattysse (possibly next year)
I'd take Judah over Maidana right now. Maidana is a bum. Thurman is unproven. Guerrero is too good for AB at this moment (AB needs more experience). Ortiz is a much bigger joke than Judah.
Talkin ish to Guerrero, take the Guerrero/Ortiz winner.
Fight your mando after Thurman/Chavez
You have a veteran in one and a tough and young undefeated in the other.
