You don't have to be a boxing expert to see that Lucas is the hardest hitting fighter at 140. He might be the hardest hitting boxer in the sport today pound for pound. He hits people and they change completely. He's also getting better at pressuring intelligently. Lucas is a monster.

I can only hope Maidana and Matthysse both lose this year and I think it can easily happen. Boxers are experts at boxing, mr smoger here is an expert at telling what kind of damage a boxer is taking and if he can continue to box or not.

Zab Judah has been in there with both these guys and taken punches from both of them, i think he said Lucas was the harder puncher. My fave ref in Boxing. Matthyse is a stronger puncher, watch the punch he puts all of his body weight into it and he's quicker too than Garcia. Garcia has got that natural punching power, the kind of power where when you look at their motion it does not look like it's that strong but when you see people crumble in front of them it's hard to dispute their power. Both guys have nasty power, it won't be about who has the most power in this fight but more about who has the better skills to LAND that punch. I honestly don't rate Garcia as highly as some people do on here. He's good but he's beatable. Matthyse can beat him, but lets not make Matthyse to be the next SRR or anything, he's got power but in terms of pure boxing ability he's rough and not too polished. He basically relies on taking a few to land one of his.He does get hit some to get his punches in and I think that is part of what makes him hard to beat. Nobody so far has been able to hurt him. He walks through hard punches and ignores the pain while he gets his own bombs in for the KO.

He had no doubt that Matthysse hit harder than Garcia and it should be obvious to anyone who has watched a few of their fights. Garcia has a good KO percentage but Lucas KOs every fighter he fights lately.

I think they are both good champions and it should be a great fight. I just don't see how Garcia can beat Lucas. Matthysse always comes forward throwing bombs and I have never seen him hurt or bothered by any fighters punches. He hits very hard with both hands and he has lots of different punches that are all hard.He puts steady, relentless pressure on his opponent with a variety of hard punches and combinations from all angles. Sooner or later he hurts them and then finished them off. I think Garcia will put up a good fight but Lucas is just too strong for him. I think Lucas can take Garcia's best stuff and stay on his feet but Garcia won't be able to take what Lucas dishes out. Matthysse by KO.

Smoger knows whats up. He's right in there in the zone with both fighters carefully watching each punch and watching their expressions.

On one level the hype Matthysse is receiving is somewhat annoying, on another level I can't stand camp Garcia. Only outcome that would frustrate me is maybe a draw, or a robbery. Its hard to have a reasonable debate. Some Danny fans are just blind as ****, they honestly believe Danny is the harder puncher of the two (reason why I posted this video to bring some common sense and perspective here) or others just seem to like him because they are homosexuals and like the way he looks and dresses, which has nothing to do with boxing. I think that Danny has been protected so as to grow his career a bit too much and has faced few real dangerous fighters. The couple times where he faced more serious opponents he struggled hard and he got hurt, he seems to get cut and bleed with ease. His boxing skills are average at best, he's slow with both hands and feet. What got him where he is now is a good manager, a moderately good chin (I dont think its better than Petersons, in fact I think Peterson beats Danny) and a nice left hood. Other than that punches do find him with easy, his defense is downright poor. Can he brawl his way against a stronger, tougher and technically better Matthysse, who also happens to be a better brawler? Peterson proved that’s not the way to beat Matthysse. B-Hop said I best, you have to avoid Matthysse for the first 6 rounds, then box perfectly for the rest of the fight. I dont see how that could be possible for Danny and I'm not alone in these observations. That's why every poll shows Matthysse as a clear favorite. That is all gentlemen. FerFAL
