Every era has a group of fighters that defined each generation. 60s and 70s was looked at as the golden era of Heavy with Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Patterson, the 80s had the "4 Horsemen" Sugar Ray LEonard, Hagler, Hearns and Duran. The 90s will be remembered as Roy Jones, De La Hoya, Trinidad, with a few HW like Holyfield, Lewis. My question is who (besides the obvious 2 Pac and Floyd) will be looked at as the best of this era. I have to include B-hop, Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto (Cotto and JMM are 2 of the few guys ive ever known who NEVER ducked or dodged anyone and that has to be respected). There are obviously more but I just want to get some opinions as to wh oyou think will be remembered as the best of these years 2000-2010.
1-Pacman
2-Floyd
3-k2
4-JMM
5-Calzaghe
6-Bhop
7-lewis ending his career and Ward staring his
8-the fall of Roy Jones,Mike Tyson,De la Hoya and other greats from the 90's
Rigo?? Lol this is worst than the marquez over pac statement... :wtf:
my list is in no particular order but Pacman > Marquez. some could argue that Pac is number 1 but for me it's Floyd since he done what he done in the olympics. Where is pacs medals?
2000-2010
so by your logic Rigo was top 5 in the 1930's too
:ugh::confused:
the greatest current active fighters would be:
Hopkins
Jones
Mayweather
PacMan
and possibly Mosley
Neither in the are in there primes now, but they would be the greatest active one. The best active fighters as off now would be
Mayweather
PacMan
Rigondeaux
Ward
Marquez
I can't really argue with this
i think its floyd, jmm, bhop, manny, and wlad. I don't see how any other fighter gets in the top 5.
I forgot to mention Wlad, he is up there too.
you're right.
how could we forget about rigondeaux's seven fights in '09 and '10?
and his thrilling SD nod over a shot ricardo cordoba, in a close fight that could have gone either way?
It's good to see that you agree! Rigod showed in that fight that he can face adversity against a warrior and overcame the battle to get the victory
Not at all, Rigo has faced all comers, hasn't ducked anyone, 2 gold medals at the Olympics, 2 world amateur championships, 7 time national champion and the list goes on. If you add this decades achievements as well beating a top 5 p4p and unifying the division it's clear hat Rigod is an all tome great. The real question is have you lost your mind?!
Rigo didn't start professional boxing till 2009, his biggest win was in 2013 against Nonito and you are adding him to the era of 2000-2010 top five greats?
Mayeeather Pacman Hopkins Rigod JMM
De La Hoya RJJ Morales MAB are up there too
you're right.

wouldn't guys like Roy, Morales and Barrerra still be up for consideration? at least the first two.
and it pains me to say it, but Calzaghe?
ppl will still talk about Vernon, Shane etc too
Iff JMM beats Bradley, he's the clear cut #2, Pacquiao #3. Also the Klithsckos
Lol this is just beyond ridiculous, try not to be such a blatantly obvious hater or fan boy.....
Overall I have mayweather slightly better career wise but specifically between 2000-2010
Top 3:
Pac
May
Hopkins
Mayweather
Pacquaio
Hopkins
Those 3 would be the obvious top 3.
Not sure how the rest would go because a lot of the stars of 00-09 did a lot of work prior to the decade and are still continuing now after the decade is over.

are you dumb? 2000-2010? JMM #2 and Pac #3? even JMM beat Klithsckos or sweep the entire weight division, he wont be above Pac 2000-2010! lol. let me guess, #1 will be Floyd in your list?
