The problem is HBO being butthurt because they didn't want to match or better Showtime's deal with PBF -- they were free to make the same deal or a better one, and they're taking it out on Golden Boy for not delivering Floyd at a cheaper price. Golden Boy has no problem working with HBO or letting its fighters fight on that network, the problem is that HBO lost and is throwing a babyfit over it.

HBO is smart. They are going to marinate Ward vs. Stevenson as a megafight in Montreal. Ward needs to get active again because he's got a slew of big paydays ahead of him: Froch rematch Pascal/Bute Stevenson Chavez Jr. He will have a fat bank account if he can land those fights over the next 2-3 years. can add ggg to that
