Ward couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag.....
he's tough and good on the inside, and box well at range.... not spectacular, but a really well schooled fighter, who has sound fundamentals....
I like watching Ward.... and I guess people enjoyed seeing him get a stoppage win, but Ward's not stopping a fighter unless he's drained himself completely....
He couldn't stop alan green, who killed himself to make weight....
So please stop all this talk about how 'impressive' his victory against Chad Dawson was..... because it wasn't.... had that fight been at 175lbs, I think Ward probably beats Chad but no way in hell would he have stopped him....
Ward, Tim Bradley.... these guys fall into the same type of category for me... (ignore Tim's last performance).... They're really good boxer's, who are strong on the inside and box well... but aren't necessarily outstanding in any particular dimension.... not the quickest, not the slickest, not the strongest, definitely not the hardest hitting, but just good boxers with solid fundamentals....
They're never gonna be big attractions, but the purists will always appreciate their skills....
People underrate Ward's power, even Froch was shocked by it.
True. I think he has a chance at stopping anyone he fights. Just depends how he goes about it

He beats anyone at or around his division (160-175).
He's stronger than anyone in his division.( did you see how he moved froch around the ring)
He's great at taking away opponents strengths.
He's great at not losing.
I think he's top 3 pfp with floyd and rigo.
I'd love to see him against Adonis or GGG. They have power so you never know. But I dont see Ward losing anytime soon.
Don't matter, just know that the fighter other fans like better then Ward at 168 because they are "MORE EXCITING"...THEY CAN'T BEAT WARD!
OH yeah and Andre Ward is great at the Something by the way: HE IS GREAT AT WINNING!
Nobody is saying Ward is a puncher I don't think?
I don't think hes feather-fisted but hes certainly not a big puncher.
I don't think Dawsons chin has ever been that good myself and he was also likely drained as hell when he fought Ward. To his credit though Stevenson hits very hard he probably underestimated his power with Stevenson moving up, at least that is how it looked to me with him not being his usual defensive self and showing Stevenson virtually zero respect.
