Whose defeat of Dawson was more impressive: Adonis Stevenson or Andre Ward?

The easy answer is Stevenson, but the correct answer is Ward. Ward broke Dawson down and permanently changed him as a fighter. For the first time in Dawson's career, he was completely outclassed and had absolutely no answer. Ward beat a better Dawson in my opinion, just as Douglas beat a better Tyson than Holyfield or Lewis. Dawson was exhuasted after the 2nd round. Beating a guy up when he has no speed, power or energy in the tank is not that impressive IMO. Dawson didn't have any answers because he had no energy to do anything...he literally couldn't throw a punch with any snap after 6 minutes, he was spent. Pascal's remains the best win, then Stevenson.

Stevenson. Ward-Dawson was looking very even until Dawson's energy zapped in the 3rd, due to being drained. Stevenson did the opposite of Ward, took the challenge of moving up and wiped him out in 75 seconds.

Pascal had the more impressive win over Dawson,he was the first to do it..He also moved up to do it..

I'm not a fan of early KO's (especially that early)...it doesn't prove who's the better figher. I prefer KO's to happen between the 4th-8th (or later) rd that way each fighter has time to try and apply their game plan. It's exciting but doesn't prove who's better, after fights I like to know who's the better fighter.

Everyone knew what Adonis's only chnace of winning was, and he still landed tbat 1 shot. Adonis gets my vote. this^^^^^^^^^^ so many dudes picked Ward to win that fight but nobody really gave Adonis a chance....I know I didn't.....tbh, I'm still shocked.....just yesterday I was explaining to someone at work that it sounds really crazy to say "Chad Dawson was knocked out in the first round"....that don't even sound right.....so yea, Adonis gets my vote EASILY!!!

When you stop a fighter that is coming off a knockout loss there is always a question mark. Stevenson was impressive but was Dawson damaged goods?

I was gonna vote Ward as he dominated Dawson, knocked him down 3 times. But then I thought of the word "impressive" again and the word "spectacular" came into my head. So I voted Stevenson. (plus Stevenson follows me on twitter :P)

Stevenson folded him in 1 round at his best weight class... Until he gets hit a few more times, we won't know if that was Dawson being shot to **** from the weight loss/jump and the beating he sustained from Ward, or if Adonis really does pimpslap that hard. We won't find out which victory was better for a while, truth be told.

Oh please. If Dawson was given the choice, the fight would be at 175 and Andre Ward could have easily asked to do the fight at 175. Dawson knew he couldn't get the fight if it wasn't at 168 in Oakland. Yes, but Dawson was the one screaming for a fight, so he fights where Ward tells him to. It sucks that we didn't get to see a fully capable Dawson tangle with Ward, yes, but that's boxing. You can't call someone out then demand they move up or down in weight, that's not how it works.

more impressive? Hmmm, well Ward beat him at a lower weight, but Ward hurt him multiple times. Stevenson did KO him in 1 rd. but Dawson just got caught cold. It happens to a lot of guys. I would say Stevenson, but Ward by far is the better fighter in pretty much everyway.

didn't vote... cos 'neither' wasn't an option.... ward's giving himself too much credit.... talking about how he fought a 'great' fighter in dawson.... whom he had boil himself down, and effectively end his boxing career.... if chad had fought stevenson when he fought ward at 175.... chad woulda whooped him.... and if chad had fought ward at 175.... it would have gone the distance.... and would have been a close fight....
