If Lara becomes a star, would any demand for Mayweather (assuming he wins) who "holds a belt at the weight" be asking too much, or would it be asking too much considering the size?
Without a doubt, this would be a legit fight. Lara is a skilled southpaw with good power and a solid defense. He's naturally bigger than Floyd, has a longer reach, possesses a good jab and has good movement. Lara brings a lot to the table as far as skillset but sometimes he doesn't put it all together. I would love to see this fight from a technical standpoint but I doubt it would be highly entertaining. This would be a very cerebral fight. Which fighter has the better gameplan, makes the better adjustments. This fight has almost no chance of happening though because Lara doesn't bring any thing to the table financially (high risk low reward) and his resume isn't much either.
you know your **** about boxing. Those left hands will be hitting the target all night.
Not to mention, we've already seen how durable the guy is. Lara could definitely take floyd's shot. Can floyd take his? And yes, floyd will get hit. To the people trying to say lara doesn't have the best inside defense. That matters why? Did ya'll see the shots he was hitting angulo with on the inside?
Floyd won't take this fight, and that's a guarantee.
Lara said he'd go to 147 for Floyd. He's not a huge Jr MW.
Completely unnecessary, though. It would be no different than Dawson beating himself just to get to the weigh-in.
Easy question to answer.
If Lara is in position to fight Floyd, scores a big win and/or calls him out, then yes, haters will gladly accuse Floyd of ducking him.
If Floyd accepts the fight, dominates and wins, then no, it wasn't a legit fight because Lara was never really a threat from the beginning...says the haters of course
If Angulo was able to hit Lara the way he did, Floyd would easily outbox Lara to a lopsided decision.
How exactly are you making a comparison between Angulo and Mayweather? It makes zero sense to make any judgments on Mayweather-Lara because of Lara-Angulo.

He's much smaller than Alvarez. Size isn't the issue, the money is.
I'd love to see it. No chance it happens though.
Lara needs to ask Angulo wtf is he eating he came out the best i ever seen him that was some beast mode stamina.
i think angulo was deff on something tonight and he still couldnt beat lara ,that just shows you what type of heart cuban fighters have... gotta appreciate rigo and lara.
i dont wouldnt want lara/mayweather to happen before lara faced either the winner of molina/ishe smith or any other title holder in the 154lb division i think kirkland/lara is a good fight too!
IF Lara becomes a star? Don't worry his ascent up the boxing scale to popularity and this fight taking place are certainly never going to be a reality.
It would certainly be an interesting match up ..... and a change compared to those we usually see Floyd fight.
Floyd doesn't possess that 1 punch power nor the pressure that Angulo used tonight. Plus Floyd is used to fighting guys that come forward all the time. Not as much good quality counter punchers that is at least his own size and in some aspects bigger.
Lara just ****ed up Angulo who has a great chin I must say. Those shots both men landed were hard as ****. I don't think a lot of guys would do good against either of them, I could see both stopping Canelo. I'm not sure how Mayweather would do against them because he could get caught or just box their heads off, but that could be a bit harder against Lara I think.
Maybe, but I noticed that even against Carlos Molina as well as the Vanes fight, Lara tends to get extremely sloppy defensively when he gets tired
