Khan is not past his prime, hes the same guy hes always been he just had a little run of looking good against defensive midgets and limited plodders who never had the style or tools to take advantage of his glaring flaws.
His chin is waaaaaaay past his prime, he will get knocked out when he steps up and fights someone in the top 20 mark my word.
kahn seemed to have gatherd a great momentum leading into the Maidana fight, he hadent been hurt for many years, and most importantly he knew maidana could punch, soo he fought while on his bike, and that saved his ass.
This time he has been droped several times, got koèd and his chin has become prone to knock outs, maidana on the other hand have sharpen up his game.
Maybe you are right but he seemed like a better fighter two years ago and his chin did not sems as bad as it does now. Either way I have no faith in Khan and would not bet a dime on him against any decent fighter.
People here really have double standards if they think Lucas Matthysse is P4P material and at the same time they consider Maidana to be trash. Chino is a lot better than you think, time will tell.

Sorry, I meant to say Khan is washed up and past prime. He ain't what he used to be. Garcia apparently ruined him. If the Khan of old that beat Maidana and KOed Paulie and Judah comes back he can beat Alexander. I think that Khan is gone forever but we will see in his next fight.
I think Khan is washed and past prime. He was a much better fighter when he beat Maidana. Khan just barely beat Diaz with the referee's help in England. Does anyone think that Diaz is a better fighter or a harder puncher than today's Maidana? Maidana would KO him in a few rounds. I voted to fast and picked Maidana by KO. I should have voted Maidana by obliteration but I missed that option.
Khan didn't let maidana hurt him in the 10th and he didn't exchange in the Maidana fight like he did in the Garcia fight. (in the middle of the ****ing ring at times, if he did he would have got sparked out IMO)
Khan didn't respect Garcia's power like he did maidana and we saw what happened.
In the Maidana fight Khan was on his bike for the majority., and holding and turning his back whenever Maidana was close to him. terrible referring by Cortez.
Khan got hit with an overhand right while he was backing up attempting to box, I know your better than that man but you can't be serious with the bolded.
Guys, i'm not trying to discredit Maidana at all here. I know he got hit by an overhand right in the tenth, which made him hang on to the ropes after he buckled. I was talking about what happened after that. Khan should have hold on to Maidana like he took his lunch money. Instead, he tried to engage - stupid thing to do against a puncher.
What we saw in the Khan-Maidana fight were two things:
1) Khan has speed and size advantages over Maidana. Talent wise, it's not even close.
2) Khan was extremely vulnerable to the uppercut. Maidana hit him with that all night long.
I like Maidana a lot, and Khan obviously rates him very highly, but if a focused Khan shows up in tip top shape - I don't see Maidana beating him. If the Khan that showed up vs Diaz shows up, then Maidana could take it.
It's difficult to pick Khan in his current form, cuz it's almost a guarantee that he'll get stunned at some point. I think Maidana is a better fighter now than he was then, so I would pick him to win.
khan spanks maidana even worse the second time, maidana would quit boxing after that fight. he got destroyed the first time, the second time his career is over.

Exactly the point i was making. he did not exchange with Maidana in the centre of the ring like he did with Garcia.
In fact the ropes kept his legs up when Maidana landed that over hand right in the 10th. If that was in the middle of the ring Khan might have been stopped.
I think Khan would win wider than what happened the first time. If he had not wanted to prove his chin in the first fight, he would have cruised to a UD. Instead he chose to engage, and even then, Maidana didn't drop him. Khan dropped Maidana hard though - all the power to him for getting up from that body shot.
Khan UD.

I think Maidana would always have a shot at Knocking Khan out or stopping him. Styles make fights and Maidana has the style and Power to hurt Khan at any point in the fight.
Now that Maidana actually uses the Jab more, he might catch Khan with better shots that in the first encounter they had. I would like to see this rematch if Maidana beats Lopez and maybe someone else in September and if Khan beats Devon.
maidana vs Khna 2014 for the IBF title.
i always thought maidana earned a rematch with his performance in the first fight. all he needs is some minor adjustments and a bit of luck and he wins by knock out.
I'd have to give the edge to Khan. I think a big factor in the first fight was Maidana's lack of speed and I don't think hes any faster than he was then. Khan could see everything coming and was able to take a lot of sting out of Maidana's heavy hands.
