It seems that most of America believes mayweather will win this fight because of many reasons but the main reasons r experience and even tho canelo has had 40+ fights they r against sub par opposition but who will he lose 2 on Floyd's resume @ the time floyd fought them
True, size is a huge factor win or lose I take my hat off 2 floyd 4 even taking the fight but if they were the same size even tho i think he can box Floyd wins u right
Ever consider stand-up?
alvarez also has 2 wins over one the best lightweight miguel vasquez. alvarez destroyed lopez who destroyed ortiz who was a young lion according to floyd. canelo's resume and performances are just better.
dont get me misunderstood Floyd beats everyone on canelos resume easily Floyd has fought world class fighters for the last 15 yrs and canelo might have fought 2 world class fighters 1 way past his prime, I noticed canelo a few years ago and thought he was something special Im really just wondering why on this board he seems like a walk in the park 4 a 36yo fighter I think he actually can box with anybody and brings extreme power now he has a stamina problem but if he can get in shape I believe he has a very good chance
alot of people think he has a good chance which is why its a big fight but still, most think its only due to the huge size advantage. If they were the same size then I dont think you would feel his chances were as great
alvarez's resume is clearly better than floyds. don't fall for the hype. floyd should have lost to castillo and alfonso gomez destroyed castillo, then alvarez destroyed gomez. floyd ran all night vs baldomir and canelo knocked him out. floyd almost got knocked out by mosley and canelo easily beat mosley.

Alvarez started his career at welterweight and fought his first 30 fights there. One of the reasons why he moved up was that the competition at welterweight was too stiff for him. At time he moved up in 2010, the welterweight division had Mayweather, Mosley, Pacquaio, Cotto, Margarito, and Paul Williams all of whom were still great quality fighters at the time, and others who were good like Judah and Joshua Clottey. Alvarez would have lost 6 of those 8 fights if he had fought them between 2008 and 2010. He also would have lost to Martinez, who was campaigning at 54 at the time.
He would have lost to almost everyone Floyd fought at Welterweight at the time Floyd fought them. That includes Judah, Baldomir, Mosley and probably Juan Manuel Marquez. He also would have lost to Oscar De La Hoya.
There is a reason why Alvarez had had 43 fights and only fought one quality opponent and that was in his last fight.
If you wanna go lower you have more as well. Hernandez, Castillo, Corrales to name the obvious ones.

Trout would school everyone Mayweather has defeated
I hear Trout likes double cheeseburgers too. What? If it were true, what relevance does that have? Exactly.
I said canelo now vs mayweathers opponents when he fought them not in the glory days of their career mayweather didn't even fight half of those fighters in thier prime
Mosley he fought 2 years later and got destroyed
Cotto a year ago would have been destroyed
Dlh as old as he was would have been destroyed
Marquez no comment because he was way 2 small even 4 mayweayther
I'm not speaking on skills or anything just really wondering why he doesn't have a chance if u can remember Floyd Sr. said he don't think his son should fight him or any other 154 fighter 4 that matter but everyone here thinks its gonna b easy $ but about a month ago it was said that Floyd would duck him
he did not fight the same Mosley Floyd did no matter what you think. That Mosley would give him hell. He is in no way destroying that version of Oscar. He loses to Chico & Catillo. I would favor Zab, N'Dou, Ortiz, Ghost, etc..... all over him
I don't know if you're mixing arguments or being wilfully ignorant. How many fights of this magnitutde has Alvarez had? How many PPVs has he headlined? Mayweather knows what it's like to move up weight and face the number one guy, more than once. He's had multiple championship fights against lots of different styled opponents.
I know this sounds like a Mayweather w*nk off but I'd be saying the same if it were Pacquiao instead. The gulf in experience is vast and a silly "who beats who" game just doesn't properly cover the point.
Either you're looking both fighter's experience or trying to trash one's resume under a thin veil. I think we can guess which it is.

1.De La Hoya
2.Mosley
3.Marquez
4.Cotto
5.N'Dou
6.Corley
These are all fantasy matchups because of the weight difference. But based on skill and style, these fighters beat Canelo.
Tough to say because Canelo has never fought in the lower weight classes that Floyd has campaigned in. I think Oscar would have been a tough fight for Canelo though. He has a solid jab and was active. This would push the pace and trouble Canelo. Shane and Canelo at 147 three years ago would test ginger as well.
When people say floyd has the experience edge over Canelo, it has nothing to do with whether Canelo could beat those guys or not. It just means Floyd has faced different types of test that will prepare him for any fighter and any style.
