Trout has a 51% KO ration in 27 fights
Mayweather has a 59% KO ratio in 44 fights
But who do you think is the harder hitter overall at the 154 weight limit?

Trout is the heavier hitter due to him being the naturally bigger and stronger guy.
At 154 it may be equal. Floyd's not even really a power puncher at 147, so at 154 based on his previous performances as well he's much less of a power hitter there.
well its not as cut and dry as ppl make it. floyd definitely hurt cotto a few times in their fight, and at least once he was absolutely ready to go.trout didnt even stun him. that may be because trout puts next to nothing behind his punches, but that does tell me that floyd at least has power on par with most ppl in and around his weight, including trout.
In terms of raw power, trout. But he never really landed flush on canelo in their bout. Mayweather is faster, has better timing, and has lightning sharp precision counters.
He hurt dlh a few times even buckling him. He hurt cotto as well and could hsve taken him oit if he stepped on the gas a bit more, did trout hurt cotto?
Yes, he did hurt both of them. But that's what I was talking about when I mentioned clean punches and hitting guys with shots they didn't see coming. I'm not trying to knock Floyd's power. He rocked DLH with a counter off the ropes using pretty much no legs at all. It was just a beautifully placed counter. For me it basically comes down to a 170 lb man should hit harder than a man weighing 150.
I think it's about even. Mayweather puts more into his shots than Trout does relative to size.
Austin Trout, Mayweathers last LEGIT stoppage was against a natural 140lb'er (Ricky Hatton), what makes you think he could stop some of the people Trout stopped at 154lbs & are much bigger then the guys Mayweather couldn't stop at 147.
Compare competition.
When he is trying to hit hard I would give Mayweather a slight edge. He has a good left hook and a fast hard straight right. It may have been a sucker punch but the right he hit Ortiz with was a very hard punch. It put Ortiz down for the full count.
I would say Trout. Floyd has good power. It helps that he catches guy with shots they don't see coming. Floyd often lands clean and has excellent technique as well. If they weighed the same I would take Floyd. I don't see anyway Floyd can stop any good JMW at his size though. He's never even scored a knockdown at 154.
