Not is he a draw?
Not venue.
Not Ward is boring. Froch is exciting.
When they get in the ring can Froch beat Ward?
I say no, he is slow(er than ward), punches are wide and jabs are not snappy enough to worry Ward.
The problem is like other divisions the number one guy is far ahead of the rest of the pack it's almost unfair on the Number one guy.
I don't know why yall think Froch has a realistic chance against Ward. Ward's movement is a puzzle that Froch can never solve. Let's face it. Froch vs Ward is gonna be 9-3 (worst case 8-4) in favorite of Ward in a decision.
This.
I like Carl Froch, but hell no he can't beat Ward. Do people still not get how good Ward is?
Agree with both of you. Froch is exciting and one of my favorites right now but no way he beats Ward. If there was anything Froch had in the first fight Ward will adjust to it the second time around. Froch would have to let it all go in a Ward fight to have a punchers chance. Stylistically Froch never wins this one.
I don't think he has any real chance of beating Ward, but I'd still like to see it as a Froch fan because if he did pull off a miracle and do it (it is boxing after all so anything can happen) he'd seriously enhance his legacy. None of the other fights being talked about will really do that in the same way in my opinion.
Donaire has a better chance of beating Rigo than Froch has of beating Ward.

Idk why people say Ward was fading, he took his foot off the gas and cruised.
He beats Froch even more convincingly this time. Ward came into the fight with a severely broken hand, let me repeat that, he came into the fight with a broken hand, and STILL whooped Froch. He was able to throw it a few times however he really hurt it sometime around round 6 or 7.
Ward was around just 70% that match, imagine what he'd do to Froch at 100%!
Froch is the same fighter he was when he fought Ward, Kessler isn't as good as he used to be and Bute was mad overrated. Froch can beat anyone outside of Ward though.

Ward's broken hand after the fight ^
No he really was fading.
He was clearly tired and breathing heavily in those last few rounds.
infront of 85K Screaming Brits? you bet your ass he can. Just ask BUTE (who ward Ducked) and Kessler.
More like 18K.
If they're doing Froch-Kessler at the 02 I can't see them taking Froch-Ward to Wembley.

when they fought in the usa....it wasn't home court advantage for ward and they had neutral jugdes...if they fight in the UK froch wins via robbery...the first fight proved that there's a class difference...but ward isn't invincible...just froch ain't beating him

People who say no obviously didn't watch the last two rounds of their fight and are not giving Carl his credit for improving as a fighter since that fight.
Could it have been possible that Ward was so far up on the cards that he didn't want to get caught with anything silly, like Jermaine Taylor did when he was clearly up on the cards, fought silly, ran out of gas, and got KOd..
Its possible but if both are on A game, Ward wins. He is more skilled and not afraid to fight in a dirty, rough fashion that Froch would need to win. Guys like Kessler or Bute are "sportsman" it is a game and they their best but if they lose its ok. Ward, like Froch, will do whatever he has to too win.
That night!! That fight! Just because you have a bad night dont mean you cant beat a guy. If Froch goes back to his roots in the gym and tones and defines his skills as a fighter, and adds more to his arsenal each time he fights and especially after a loss. He stands a real good chance of beating Ward. it has looked like since then Froch has improved each time. I do not think Ward would win a rematch! IMO!
As Teddy Atlas would say, you're lying to yourself. Froch is one helluva fighter and all that you say is true, but what makes Ward the better fighter is footspeed and footspeed is god given. It can't be trained into a fighter. In the first fight, Froch would set his feet to punch, but before he could get set up, Ward had landed a punch and moved on.
No and Froch knows it. That's why he isn't the most eager and straight up comes out and says he isn't eager to fight him. That would ruin all this momentum and allure that he currently has. Two big wins over top class opposition creates the aurora that perhaps he does have a chance but lets be clear here, he doesn't present himself like a fighter who believes he has a chance against Ward. I loved the fight yesterday another classic by Kessler and Froch but something about them fighting for "World championships" when the REAL champ is sitting ringside commentating made it a tad bit funny. I guess when the money is coming in why would you ruin that for yourself by getting beat again?
ward is simply too talented.
watching froch last night there were still alot of openings and a clever counterpuncher would exploit frochs lack of defence.
however i would say that after froch has improved since his last fight and he deserves another shot at the number 1. people forget that ward is a strong, skillful fighter but his chin is still susceptible.
