if you have the biggest ufc stars and put them in the RING with the biggest boxing stars they would some really good fights and i think it'll be a even playing field for both ,dont try to put boxers in a octagon. Its way to different and they will get handled, is like floyd said i only strike with my hands.who wouldnt wanna see andre ward take on jon jones with boxing gloves lol nobody would duck anybody because all the fights would be too big to pass up...
You can't compare the two. Two different sports, two different motions of training, strategy, etc. Like someone said here, Apples and Oranges.
What I won't agree with though is Floyd training a year in MMA and being able to beat Top 5's, sorry...ain't happening. Floyd is fast with his feet and hands, but things such as sprawling, ground control, ju jitsiu, wrestling, etc are all things that take years to Master and or even be "very good" at. Adding the fact that even for punches, Floyd couldn't hold a Philly shell or use the tactics he uses because the fighters are allowed to grab you and lock you up as well as take you down from jump and that demands a different defensive posture. I'm imaging a realistic fight (weight wise...GSP is 170lbs) between Jose Aldo (155lbs) and Floyd Mayweather and I really, really don't like Floyd's chances lol. That's not a diss to Floyd, but it's the same thing as what someone else said, Jon Jones fighting even Ward and Dawson at 175 in Boxing is a clear mismatch because Jones' strong suit isn't Boxing as Floyd's strong suit isn't blocking kicks / takedowns.
man take this gay as mma chat to one of those grappling fag forums.
PS FYI, Boxers will always hit harder then MMA fighters why they know how to throw a proper punch.
Case and Point, Lucia Rijker who is a female boxer is only 5'6 140lbs yet she hits as hard as houston 'the assassin' alexander who is a professional mma fighter who is 6'0 200+lbs. MMA Fighters just cant bang on boxers level

Indeed. I can't take MMA seriously. It's unwatchable to me.
I agree. No MMA guy has a chance of beating a top boxer in his weight class under boxing rules. The best pro boxers make many times what the best MMA fighters make. For instance Mayweather is getting at least 32 million per fight. Is there an MMA fighter that even makes one million per fight? If any MMA fighter was good enough at straight boxing to beat the top boxers he would change over to pro boxing and make much more money.
That's why boxing is dong so well because boxer take all the money and no one invest back in boxing and people like maywheater can make milions without fighting the best and that a good think:purity:
No MMA fighter would have any chance against Mayweather.
In a ring, Anderson Silva was KO'd in one round by a complete bum and he is seen as MMA's elite 'striker'. Keep MMA guys in their octagon and boxers in the ring.
How long was that? How is anyone gonna KO him when he's going to kick you in the face. That's why he's an elite striker you noob:killyou:

Just Stop! It's unfair for an mma fighter to fight in the ring because he can't use all of his skills.
Boxer has a much better chance of going into MMA and succeeding then the other way around.. Boxer has already mastered that art, and can build off it, plus he always has that punchers chance.
Throw that MMA guy in the boxing ring against that guy who mastered boxing and what chance does he have? There is no way out, but to punch or curl up and quit.

boxer vs mma fighter in a boxing match.. boxer wins
boxer vs mma fighter in a mma match.. mma fighter wins
difference between the two is.. you can take a street fighter put him in a ring against a boxer, nd will be embarrassd. you can take a street fighter put him in the octagon/mma match nd he'll do just fine

You are totally underestimating the differences. Its just as bad going from MMA to boxing as it is boxing to MMA. Infact, if you give a guy like Floyd one year to train for MMA, I think he does better in the Octagon than Jon Jones does in a boxing ring with one year of training.
If you think the guys that Floyd is fighting are bums then put them in the ring with GSP and see what happens. They destroy him. Its a totally different sport. Jon Jones wouldnt last a second in the ring with Ward just like Ward wouldnt last in the Octagon with him
Hi,
Is there footage? No, did you get that information from another retarded rumour? Yes.
Anderson stated the only reason he went into boxing was to help his stand-up game, he didn't actually want a career out of it.
I've watched the video of him getting put on his back by a bum, yes.
