I know it has been talked about many times around here, just want to see what the posters who actually saw Oscar fight at his prime think? If you are too young or a casual fan please don't comment. IMO. Oscar would KO Pacquiao at any weight from 135-147 in his prime.
Oscar in his prime beat how many world CH, or former world CH,! If Eric Morlas beat manny hands down the 1st fight at 126, think what Oscar would have done to him at 147. More skill, faster, better boxing, reach, Granite Chin, Power and tailored made for straight forward fighters "Manny"
Oscar was beating the now 48 year CH, Hopkins before the liver shot. Beat Trinadad, Beat Mosley bymore then 125 punches landed in the rematch/2nd fight, Beat the real Chavez twice just getting in fresh. Hector, Gatty, Vargas. The list goes on.
The true fights i saw Oscar loose was Hopkins, Mosley the 1st fight, Draw Mayweather, lost to Strun at 160 but got the win when he shouldn't have. The Manny fight of course but had Oscar stayed at 154 which manny fought margitio at that weight Oscar past prime would even have one.
Prime Oscar as others said before would take any 140-154lber out primed today. JMHO
Man I agree with you all the way bro. Erik Morales in his prime beat PAC, just imagine what a prime De La Hoya would do to him?

You mean the one Yoked on Roids
You mean the one Floyd said was on Roids and later went on world media denying it? Haha ***** Floyd got swallowed with thick pinoy sperm!
"Oscar would have beat Floyd as well."
I've said this all along. Oscar was 34, stuck in mud, and too rich when he fought Floyd. After 8 rounds, he was ahead by a point on all three scorecards. He simply got old and couldn't sustain the pace he set early. A prime Oscar would have made the smaller Mayweather, look small. He was too fast, too smart, too big, and he moved to well with his legs and knew how to fight BIG. Floyd wouldn't beat a lot of fighters who came before him. He is over-rated in my eyes and doesn't like to challenge himself.
I my eyes at best it was a draw even with Oscar fighting towards the end. Remember Oscar was the CH. you have to decisively beat the CH to take his belt which clearly was not done!
:boxing:
If any of yous were around when the fight happened. Most people picked De La Hoya too win due to his size. Oscar cherry-picked Manny thinking he would cash out into the sunset and it came back and bit him in the ass. :lol1:
If DLH wanted to have the best chance of winning he wouldn't have killed his body and weighed less than Pacquiao on fight night. I think he was trying to convince people he could win without a size advantage, that is what backfired, not the choice of opponent.
Prime Oscar beats any 140 147 fighter today and the version of Pacquiao that he fought. The guy had more skill than people seem to remember or want to give him credit for.
i don't particularly like him, but he was big, strong, fast, hit hard and had an amazing chin. He would clean out 135-147 today, with the only ???? being Floyd.

And just in case people are wondering, this is prime Oscar...

He SMASHES pac.
But in the ring he still loses ;)
Pac who fought Oscar at 147 was a super featherweight Pac who had won his first fight at Lightweight. I would concede that Prime Oscar's size would have been too much. Filipinos ain't dummies. Even the aged Oscar at that time struck fear so much that even Congress wanted to make a law to prohibit Pac from fighting Oscar.
But the Pac who fought Cotto would've beaten Oscar thoroughly more than the version of himself who just got out from Superfeatherweight. Too much power, speed, and boxing finesse.

He Ko's Pacquiao similar to Marquez but A prime Oscar would also beat Mayweather these young people seem to forget Floyd fought a promoter not a a guy who lived boxing. Oscar was like Rocky Balboa that fought Clubber Lang all soft and sleeping in his silks or fish stocking panties which ever he prefers

pac loses to anyone with a little head movement and decent footwork(see marquez and bradley). odlh murks him....pac is extremely overrated.
you won't be putting or writing the above if jmm had not kod pac.....
you saying fighters with movements beat pac proves you have not really watched pac's other fights...
you saying pac, who has tucked 8 division titles, to be extremely overrated is really a big ?.............if he is extremely overrated, then who is not???

Coming from a fan of admitted cherry picker who admitted he cherry picked all his fights by himself and if there is a slight chance his opponent can beat him then the fight is off. Yeah I believe in you.:peeright::baby:
