Another FOTY-caliber matchup, I'm picking Maidana to get the late round stoppage after a tremendous see-saw battle.

Lopez by UD. Gotta brawl in spots, then outbox Maidana down the stretch.

I voted for Maidana by tko but I am rooting for Lopez to win.

I think people are going to be stunned by how much bigger Lopez is than Maidana. They will look 2 or 3 weight classes apart no they won't. lopez fought at a 130-135 early in his career. then he fought at/close to 140 for a very long time. many years. he moved up to 147 to fight ortiz, and then moved to 154 to fight canelo. 2-3 weight classes? madiana is a natural 140 lber, now fighting at 147. lopez will not look like a middleweight...

i win. i love it when aggressive fighters make it near the top of their divisions and fight each other. you've got be a special breed of man to fight like that and win. maidana might have some problems with lopez height, and the length of his arms, but i expect him to walk through lopez gas and catch up to him late. either a close points win or a late stoppage for maidana. i'm not sure if maidana can put lopez away. he can punch hard, but he's just not very crafty.

I don't see either guy getting stopped, maidana couldn't finish Khan ffs Marcos UD I won't hold that against Marcos since the ref really wasn't doing him any favors that fight.

I got Maidana by late KO/TKO. Lopez is taller but Maidana has improved under Garcia and is throwing more combos and seems to be getting comfortable at 147.

Josesito is a warrior. But he lost by a body shot (actually, were many body shots) his last fight. Maidana won by a body shot his last fight (actually, he won many fights that way). Guess who wins? He lost by a body shot by a 154lb, really strong fighter. Maidana isn't as big or strong as Canelo or even Ortiz. He will withstand Maidana better than people think.

I really like this fight. I think if Lopez comes out and boxes intelligently, he can beat Maidana. If he stands and brawls, he will lose.

I got Lopez. Hes taller, more skilled, and his punches are more crisp. Maidana better be in better shape than he was for the Alexander fight.

I'm hoping Lopez wins! You never know, I'm pulling for Lopez by late stoppage or a SD.
