Mattysse is hype RIGHT NOW

The guy is good, and I honestly feel he should be undefeated but to everyone here hating on Danny Garcia, grow up. Both men fought Judah and while Garcia was hurt by Judah, the fight wasn’t close, Mattysse beat Judah in my opinion by a round or 2. In the Alexander fight I also had Mattysse winning by about 2 rounds, I had Kotelnik winning by more. While I am a fan of Peterson, he was tailor made for Lucas, and Lucas did what Ortiz was on his way to do to Peterson but Ortiz is a dumb fighter and lacks or at least at the time lacked that killed instinct. Garcia and Mattysse is a toss up in my opinion but Garcia has enough power and he’s a pretty good counter puncher. Garcia can definitely win the fight, and I bet they will fight this year or early next. Garcia has power and a decent chin, but you can just tell by looking at how they fight, Lucas is going to run over Garcia. That's how I see it.

The same thing is going on with Canelo. It's not like the man has 5 fights and people are raving about him, he is fighting on the elite world stage and knocking nearly everyone out. Does he need a record of 60-2 with 56 KO's to not be a hypejob?

I'm not going to keep going back n forth to look nd if I said overrated I meant overrated power. N u know what I mean they compared to matthysse power they say it's not close. If u read all v the threads then uv would know it's true Regardless to what you meant you said people are saying Garcia has no power and literally no one has said that. All that's been said is that Matthysse hits harder which I think is true. Garcia punches hard also.

Yea I wonder what gave you that idea, I’m had nothing with Malinaggi making comparisons yesterday. Casual look at his shoulders and where he keeps his gloves just before he throws it. that's the way i remember julian keeping his guard up when he'd stalk. i notice little things like that when watching some fighters. it isn't to say that the guy is a carbon copy, just making a comparison in one particular instance.

I've been saying for a long time now that Garcia gets humiliated by Lucas. He either goes out swinging or runs once he feels the power. I think it's a short firefight that ends with Angel crying over his son. Nothing against Danny, he does well with limited skills, but I can't see him beating Lucas. Danny doesn't hit as hard as people seem to think because he dropped a glass chinned Khan and a 400 year old fat Morales. And Lucas has never been down or seriously hurt. I like this fight and am excited, but Danny is getting raped. It's happening so make peace with it.

Yea I agree, i think he’s good counterpuncher as well, but Danny Garcia was landing counterpunches on Zab all night , as well against Khan. Garcia might not look pretty when he fights, but he isn’t a dumb fighter at all. which is why i say they're a lot alike.

I'm not sure about that. Lucas dropped Alexander heavily with a counter right hand. Knocked Dallas out cold with a pull counter, destroyed Peterson with a counter left hook not to mention the counter right over the jab which started things off. His counter punching ability is very underrated & I don't think hes as slow as people think either. I think due to him sometimes getting a bit wild people are reading into as hes slow. Hes deceptively good and far from the basic brawler hes made out to be. Okay thats fair, but I compared both fighters real step up on comp, I think Garicia’s is better Against Khan

But if we are comparing, then then we should compare the fighters they both fought,, styles make fights and people have off nights, we don’t know how Lucas would have did then against Theophane. Garcia came in as champion off stunning KO victories against Judah. That was a Lucas' real step up in competition and the fight actually went more than 4th. I had Lucas winning that fight 115-112.

Definitely but we can also compare their fights against similar level opposition. And I can tell you that Matthysse would destroy Theophane. This is the same guy who was getting beaten convincingly by Ben Murphy a few fights ago before he pulled out the stoppage in the last round. And while Garcia beat Zab more decisively, he also found himself in danger during the last few rounds, something that didn't happen to Matts. LM arguably deserved the decision and was never in any danger iirc. Garcia and Matthysse are on the same level imho, and they NEED to fight. The same Rios who has been dropped multiple times against light-hitting journeymen like Joel Ortega and been out on his feet by rather average punchers like Mike Alvarado? Rios hasn't even ever fought a puncher, man. The closest to a puncher hes fought is Alvarado. People only hype his chin up because he gets hit flush with everything and milks it like its a great achievement. His chin maybe good but I have seen zilch to suggest its anything out of the ordinary. I really do feel his irresponsible defense is quite possibly blinding a lot into thinking his chin is a lot better than it is. You got this right
