He was already unstoppable.
you could hack a shaq.
i'm also biased. don't get me wron,g he was a great player. i hate him for what he did to the celtics. he checked out mentally, and after we had moved perkins to get him pt and one last shot at a championship.
They wouldn't be the fighters that are/were with one punch KO power. That isn't the way life works. They spent thousands of hours developing the other aspects of their game because they never had the ability to instantly end a fight.
according to Nazim Richardson Ward has power but we haven't seen it yet. When he needs to demonstrate it he will. I am not sure of the video though.
Ward is a lefty that fights orthodox.
until they face a granite chinned, pressure punching machine like Tony.
How can anybody be a fan of Margarito? Serious question. In fact, I hate anyone who is a fan of Margarito.

see this is what i was talkin about in the other thread. you're good you!!
i can't stand shaquille oneal, but if he had a butter mid range jump shot he would be unstoppable.
hell, if he could shoot free throws he would have been a candidate for the g.o.a.t.
He was already unstoppable.
Damn, I know they obviously would fight differently. But I was speaking purely hypothetically if they fought the exact same way know but had massive power, it'd be crazy. It was more of just a random thought thread. But of course, some douche bags will come in and call someone trash or ignorant, and what not. That's how s**t works on here.
This is what I was thinking when browsing this thread.
If you took Mayweather, Ward and Sweet Pea as is and ADDED 1 punch power would it be fair. Thats pretty much the question and the answer is no it wouldnt.
No shyt they wouldnt fight or train the same way but thats not what you asked.
what if shaq could shoot like steve kerr?

i think these guys are / were too smart to fall in love with their power and ignore their immense skills. i would say they would fight similar, but when they got a fighter hurt...it's full on attack mode. a fighter with the skills of floyd / pea / ward, with the show finishing ability of like a tito trinidad or somethin...DAYUM!

you must mean "outboxed" rather than "destroyed"
Ward, Floyd and Whitaker destroyed their fare share of guys, Corrales is the perfect example of a guy who is commiting to much to his punches, and look what happened.
Their styles CONTRIBUTE to their modest power. Having knockout power more than anything natural to a fighter requires commitment to punches. These guys are masters of defense and hitting and not getting hit. That requires evasiveness. Evasiveness oftentimes comes at the expense of power because you rarely fully commit to punches because you might already be in the act of evading the split second your punch is thrown.
Consistently knocking guys out and fighting like Mayweather/Ward/Whitaker don't really go together.
Oh
My
God
Someone with a brain in boxingscene, is that possible. Green K. Floyd, Ward, Whitaker with one ko power is IMPOSSIBLE. These guys willingly reduce the power and commitment they put to their punches to stay elusive, be more precise and don't go off balanced like idiots. Many people with one punch ko power are not good defensively because they commit so much to their punches that they get open, off balance and are wide open to counters and then... get destroyed by guys like Ward, Floyd and Whitaker
