Peterson will stop Matthysse

I checked the odds and Peterson is a solid betting favorite. He is about a 2 to 1 favorite at most betting places. I think Matthysse will win by KO but the oddsmakers say Peterson will win and they are right more often then not. I thought Matthysse would be the betting favorite because of his KO streak but Peterson is the favorite.

Yes I said it. If you truly believe this is going to happen, put a bet on the fight. You'd make a small fortune. The odds of that happening on a few North American betting sites are +1000.

I agree. Peterson is overall a very sound boxer that has a decent reach/height advantage that he should take into consideration when making out his game plan. He is also a very good counter puncher. If he doesn't fight the right way, I can see this happening the other way around. Peterson is not a KO artist ..... and people seem to always focus on the fighters last 1 or 2 fights instead of seeing what they do best in most of their fights. Peterson did what he did in his last fights in part because his opponents let him do it. Matthysse will be more durable in a scrap and not fold as easily. Matthysse needs space to launch his shots. Peterson is a great inside fighter and once he gets inside Matthysse will not land anything. After that Peterson will do a good job on this guy I see him running or taking a knee.

Though I think Peterson seems to be a good dude who deserves success, for the benefit of the sport I hope Lucas wins it. Here we have a case of certified PED (not diuretics or weed or what not) use. Do we really want him as a bona fide contender for Floyd or a big unified 140 fight? Of course, in boxing anticipation is worst than the climax. Suspecting use with no proof such as Floyd, Pac, now JMM, and what not, is brought up over and over to tarnish the boxer. Cases of certified use, such as Mosley and Peterson, are quickly forgotten. Personally, i am not particularly outraged. But its a bad look for the sport.

Like Matthyse a lot, hope he wins but have a feeling Peterson is taking it. He is just a tough, relentless guy that will outlast Matthyse in my opinion.
