From the sounds of it, his corner didnt stop the fight because he was still winning the fight, and could get out of there with a victory, probably a lot harder to throw in the towel when you're winning as opposed to losing with no way of winning. Yeah, it was really up to the doctor and ref to stop it, because then it could have gone to the cards if it was called from headbutts. If the corner stopped it he would have lost automatically despite them knowing he would win if he got through. Difficult decision. Lebedev and the crowd would have been pissed if the corner stopped it, but if the ref or doc had done their job, it should have been stopped, then it goes to cards and he wins. Great fight. Great win for Jones.

Awesome fight...Lebenev is a wild swinging fighter. Both guys showed lots of heart. Povetkin looked pretty sharp..not much in front of him tho.

What a great fight, Jones was amazing, Lebedev is a warrior, but was flat footed at times which gave Jones the target he needed to land those right hands all day long.

WTF!? YOu serious? How long did he fight like THAT? The right eye was totally shut since round 2 I believe, the left since 9 I think

His eye was completely closed by about the 3rd and the swelling started getting horrific by the 5th or 6th round. In most places the fight would have been stopped by the 5th or 6th.

This was really Lebedevs first real loss. He got robbed against Huck, but there was no robbery here. Jones pulled it off.
