Quillen responds to GGG

I hate fightes who duck other really good fighters. However, in this case, I think Quillen made one valid point: "How much is the fight worth?" This fight isn't big enough to take the risk yet. When everyone wants this fight, and it's been talked about for over a year, then it will be time and the event will be huge. At that point, Quillen would be crazy to turn the opportunity down, and I don't think he will.

One fighter is easy to hit, but has superb power, and the other has very good boxing skills who imo can be caught in exchanges. This fight is a great fight for both guys should it happen. I'll go with the guy who can land their jab to set up their monster shots. I'm picking Quillen by ko. If GG wins, props to him for me underestimating him. Until then, we'll probably be stuck with the "scared boxers" talk up until fight time. GGG has one of the best jabs in the game and is a superb boxer. I'm not sure why people think he's some one-dimensional brawler. He's an excellent boxer who just happens to have outstanding natural power. You don't win over 350 amateur fights with just power....

This fight is building all the time. It's gonna be big when it finally goes down. Golovkin has to be the favorite. I like Pete, but I think his power is the main thing that keeps him in the conversation when discussing a fight between him and GGG.

You can say the same thing about Quillin. Peter Quillin gets hit a lot too...he can't let that happened against a big puncher like GGG. It's an interesting fight but I'd favor GGG to win in an all action-packed slugfest by KO inside 6 rounds in a FOTY type of fight. Who do you think is the more powerful puncher?

Yea but Rodriguez had the 1M dollar tourney lined up no? I'd say Quillin got the better defense out of both of these guys too. The $1 mil is for the winner of the tourney which is split $600K-$400K for the winner. To win that $600K, you have to win 2 fights

sparring is sparring that doesn't roll over into real fights, they both got power and they both got heart. I would like to see Quillin-Geale and Martinez-Golovkin to set up the showdown to determine the true undisputed Middleweight champion, something I don't believe has been done since Sept. 29th 2001

This is the best matchup that can be made at 160. Martinez is on the shelf and on his way out. I think 3G can beat Quillen today but the longer this fight takes to make Quillen will get better.

Would be a great fight and very entertaining, but it's not the first time that Quillin said he wouldn't fight Golovkin. If he really wants to prove his "Animal Status" this is the fight he should take, not looking to fight Ishe Smith now he won a title at 154. I'd favour Golovkin slightly, for the simple fact he's known to be able to take a punch, I dunno if Quillin is. Plus Pete's so robotic, saying Golovkin's got no room for improvement and Quillin does don't seem to realise that there's only a year in the difference between them! Golovkins 31, Quillins acts like hes 22 but the guy's 30 in a few weeks!

I would have thought 500k is a good fee. On Golovkin-Quillin, it's a good fight but personally I wouldn't go as far as 50-50, maybe 60-40 in GGG's favour. Quillin has a real shot with his power but if Golovkin can survive the first few rounds I think he would win. Quillin appeared to struggle with N'dam's work-rate. Yea, thats good money.
