Rigondeaux fought a consensus top 5 P4P fighter that was on 10 or 11 year winning streak.
Mayweather fought a consensus top welterweight that tore through Berto and outclassed Aydin. Guerrero was on a lengthy win streak of his own.
I think Rigondeaux performed better even though he was KD. The KD was during a clinch and Rigo stood up immediately. I feel that Donaire was more of a threat than Guerrero.
Who do you think performed better?
Rigo demonstrated speed, reflexes and clinical precision that were out of this world against an opponent with super powers of his own. RJJ said he was scared what they would do to each other. I don't think it's fair to compare what Floyd did against Robert Guerrero to this in any way. I would pick Rigo over Mayweather H2H with reasonable confidence though. I'll say that. And that's obviously a very big statement.
Both showed an ease that we are used to seeing from Floyd by now after he figures hes opponent out but we have to factor in the level of opposition here if not id say Floyd but seeing tha done by Rigo to a top 5 p4p was a thing of beauty and something i wish i see Floyd do again before he retires. (meaning against a top p4p)
Toss up
Both boxed masterfully and although Donaire was a better opponent than Guerrero he didn't look prepared physically or mentally for Rigondeaux. Rigondeaux did get dropped but it was kinda fluky and I dont count it against him much.
That had everything to do with Rigondeaux though, everything. Rigondeaux performed better, now if we're excluding level of opposition I would say Floyd, he displayed both a better defense and offense.

Maybe Rigondeaux (considering he had a higher quality opponent) but then again he did get dropped once. Mayweather's fight looked like a sparring match.

CAn't even compare.
Rigo fought some one who belongs a Few weight classes above him. Fighting Donaire who was truelly One of the top p4p with great power, amazing speed, fast foot work, great counterpuncher, you name it. And Rigo put on a clinic.
Floyd fought someone that belonged Two weightclasses below him. Well, he fought Robert. Guerrero should go back down to 140 where i think he would alot better as he looks too soft at 147.
Thats the truth how ever you want to spin it .
Rigo! He fought the better opponent. Plus, Donaire pursued Rigo most of the fight but by the 12th he was running away. Donaire knew he needed the last round but he only tried to survive.
Both performed really well, It is hard for me to say because I like both fighters and the matches just looked so similar. But on the virtue of punches landed for the victor I go with Mayweather(195 punches landed on Guerrero). Who looked slicker in the ring and got hit less, I go with Rigondeaux(82 punches landed on Rigondeaux thrown by Nonito).
I need to see how Guerrero and Nonito respond to their defeats but when all is said and done, by the end of 2013 I will probably say Rigondeaux, but who knows.
Both did great.
Floyd did better defensively. Never got near to get knocked down.
Rigondeaux did better offensively.
Overall I'm more impressed by Rigo's win since I was rating Donaire really high prior to the fight.
Rigondeaux, because he was expected by many to lose against Donaire, while Floyd was expected by many to win against Ghost.
Ghost was just outmatched, Donaire was beaten up and scared by the smaller man at the end of the fight.
