After last saturday's horrible mismatch, it's time to update Floyd's Cherry Top 5
1. Juan Manuel Marquez - Cherrypicked straight from two divisions below, cheated on the scales, etc, one of the most disgraceful cherrypicks of all time.
2. Arturo Gatti - total walking corpse/punching bag
3. Miguel Cotto - Cotto was tenderized meat from Margarito and Pacquiao, a fight that didn't happen when it mattered
4. Robert Guerrero - worthless no hoper with no punch, no skills and no intelligence. Only showed up for the paycheck. Only reason this cherrypick ain't ranked higher is because the current ww scene is very weak so there weren't many options available
5. Victor Ortiz - Is this really the type of opponent the most skilled veteran in the world should be facing, nearing his final days as a fighter? Floyd Jr. saw Ortiz got knocked down by Berto twice, saw he was a mental midget, saw someone hittable and beatable. It's shameful that Floyd still resorted to a sucker punch to win
This was no cherry pick...
Guerrora a top fighter but once again floyd made him look ordinary...
Some people just cant wait till floyd looses and will never give him respect...
I have no doubt in my mind that Mayweather could beat anybody from 140-154lbs.
That being said.. My perception is that Mayweather, despite his incomparable skill set, always takes the path of least resistance.
His "best wins" are smoke and mirrors.. Against guys who had seen their primes come and go.. His fights against younger foes.. Seemingly a steady parade of come forward, Latino style fighters, huge on heart and will to win but lacking the skills to compete on Floyd's level..
His resume is mediocre in reality.
This place baffles me sometimes.
1. Guerrero was his manditory, meaning if Floyd didn't fight him he would be stripped.
2. Who at 147 was he supposed to fight? And don't give me a top rank name because we all know that isn't possible.
3. I recall half of this place was begging for him to fight Guerrero after Floyd said Devon Alexander was the front runner. Hell, tons of people on here were saying Floyd was trying to duck Robert.
4. I never saw dozens of threads whining when Pacquiao fought jokes like Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, and now Rios.
Floyd was obviously damned if he did and damned if he didn't with this fight.
Honestly out of all of these cherry picks, nothing beats Joshua Clottey.
Actually many will tell you that Cottey beat Cotto before Maywether did and Cottey beat up Judah, something Mayweather didn't do.
Even khan said Floyd cherry picked Guerrero. Anytime Floyd picks a slow moving and not too fast hitting opponent it is a cherry pick.
Floyd likes dining on the baldomirs, Guerreros of this world.
i want to see him against 1.Canelo 2. Pacquiao 3. Marquez 2 4. Bradley 5. Trout
if he went undefeated fighting these last 5 fights than he can be the best in the last 20 years
I will never be confused with a Floyd fan, but honestly what other WW was he supposed to face? Pacquiao, Bradley, Marquez? First two TR, third said today he's not interested in it. Alexander? I prefer Guerrero over him anyway.
why does he have to face a WW when his last fight was 154.
Alvarez,Martinez or even Marquez 2.0 would've made more sense. How exactly did beating Ortiz's leftovers make Guerrero a legit threat?
I'm debating Martinez should even be a p4p fighter at this point. Regardless just fought. Alvarez isn't on the P4P list, regardless just fought. Marquez said he doesn't want to ever get in the ring with Floyd again. So... bring Rigo up to 147? Maybe get Wlad to meet at 154? Mares should've just fought back to back fights then?
Of course he did, that's why he calls himself a rich coward. Mayweather himself admitted he was a scared rich coward and you still don't believe it.

Floydie, 'I am a scared rich coward.' :lol1:
Who else on the p4p list was he supposed to fight on saturday exactly?

:Flush:
Floyd is considered P4P#1,of course it's considered a cherry pick.
The best should only fight the best.
What the hell is he doing fighting a B-Level, blown up Lightweight?
Who else on the p4p list was he supposed to fight on saturday exactly?
and people like you would STILL say he cherrypicked, so why argue? lol
lol people like me? you mean geniuses? i dont think he cherry picked against guys like mosely and cotto. ortiz i wasnt ok with cuz i knew he wasnt ready for that kind of fight. i dont have anything against floyd. i would say the same thing about any fighter if he did the same thing
We've been down this road before, I didn't agree with the Guerrero fight and would have been happier with Trout, Alvarez, Bradley or even a Marquez rematch.
C'mon man... All of the guys you just mentioned were out of commission. Trout already had a fight with Canelo signed and vice versa... Marquez has said he doesn't want to fight Floyd and Bradley not only just had a war but he is with TR. So now we have discounted those guys... who was he meant to fight?
I seriously question if a lot of these guys on here even watch boxing to know wth is going on in the sport or have ever been in the ring at least once to know what it takes to call a man a scared coward.......the responses to some of these comments are so basic and most seem to come from one fighters fan base.
I love this video.
UD if he won, I don't see Mayweather stopping him.
I think with this much animosity for some odd reason, his xenophobic attitudes, that he would have really stepped it up. Pac would have been walking into counter rights all night long
But that's neither here nor there
