I think that firstable you have to make it an ugly fight and put Floyd under constant pressure, kind of like Cotto did. Second most important thing is jab and jab all the time. Oscar showed it might be the key to succes. Also the fighter must have really speed hands and be southpaw, like Judah. I know it's easy to say but hard to do. What is your opinion? What is the blueprint and, what is more important, is there a fighter who can actually beat him?
Anyone with enough speed and willingness to stink out a fight could beat Floyd. Rigo could do it, has the foot speed to get away from shots and the speed to pot shot and out point Floyd. This would be assuming they were closer in weight.
Rigo-Floyd would be amazing if they were at the same weight.

I agree with all that and it also takes a special fighter to pull that off. Pac might have been successful when they were in their prime. Now that Floyds older, a fighter like Guerrero has a chance of pulling it off.
Would've loved to see a 140 matchup of prime for prime Mayweather vs Spadafora. Someone who can think in there with him. And no I'm not basing this on simply the sparring session but style vs. style

If you can get floyd to sign the contract and get him in the ring, you are half way there that is one of the hardest bits about fighting Floyd. Cos Floyd thinks if he has beat one of the best fighters in a division he dont have to bother fighting the other 9.
Actually floyd ahs fought twice in every division he's been in. Unlike some fighter I know who got gift titles at 140, 135 and 151 and never defended them.

Floyd is a genius. Start with that. He has the best boxing mind since Ali. He adapts so swiftly, he is a textbook.
I'd wager a bigger guy who is very physical and has a high punch output. Money's biggest minus is his low output, so he can be beaten by sheer volume potentially. Antonio Margarito would have been a decent match up at one time.
didnt he nearly get KTFO by a past prime mosley when they fought can you imagine if it was manny who landed those same punches? Mayweather would have been put to sleep.
and also Prime Mosley would have mauled him.
Floyd's basic boxing philosophy is "I'm gonna take you out into deep water and then drown you" which is what he does with almost all his opponents. The question is how do you attack him without getting trapped in deep water?
I think early pressure is important because you don't want him setting the tempo for the fight and comfortably picking you apart. The key for Guererro in my opinion will be how he manages his energy levels. If he can keep the intensity at pace or above Floyd's then he has a good chance but the moment fatigue sets in and his energy level falls below Floyd's then he's in trouble and it's Floyd's fight from there.
Here's what guys are forgetting, while u're throwing those punches landing anywhere u're also getting counter so its not as easy as yea go in there and just starts throwing. U have to apply smart pressure and be effective. Grab and hold on if u have too, give Floyd very little chance to throw anything at u. Throw punches apply smart pressure then grab and hold lol it's gonna make u look like a biitch but u will come out being the winner.
i agree, but i did say, you're gonna get hit by floyd regardless, so the opponent should be fighting at the pace he wants floyd to fight at, not the other way around...you sit back and let floyd think about the fight...you lost...nobody's beating him at that game....
LOL at people on this forum having "THE BLUEPRINT TO BEAT MAYWEATHER" HAHAHAHA
Their is no Blueprint on "Beating Him" might be a Blueprint to win rounds against him I guess and how to maybe get in some punches in on him but their is not Blueprint to beat him
People hold on to that Castillo fight but Mayweather has improved since that fight and he knows how to deal with Pressure way better since that fight and is also excellent at fighting inside
You have to be the completely package LIKE MAYWEATHER to defeat Mayweather...and it is not all just physical, a ton of it is more MENTAL then anything
Most of these fighters are all depending on "MAYWEATHER GETTING OLD" and depends on a Assist from Father Time because even they know they really don't have much of a chance going into the fight without it
So their is no Blue Print At The Moment! "THE JAB" is not a fukin Blue Print because Jabs alone is not going to get you a win over Mayweather and all the fighters who was able to land the jab well...Mayweather eventually figured out a way to get around that, Mayweather would gladly eat some Jabs if that is the only thing your throwing back at him
southpaws who come forward the way marg do are throwing away their unorthodox angles. If you count the occasional shots that southpaws managed to slip through Floyd's defense, they were generally at some distance
The southpaw left is more important than the right jab if fighting Floyd imo. Fans wrongfully assume that a southpaw jab will have the same effect as an orthy jab
i agree with everything you said, and this is just one small weakness in floyds game that will put a little bump in his path and you will have to be able to exploit the other weaknesses to win a (still think it'd be tough and close) fight
:lol1: As simple as that! However, I think it is along the right lines. To have a chance of beating Mayweather you have to keep him guessing. Over the years you have seen a few fighters get to him early on, then he figures them out and makes the adjustments to take them apart.
Mayweather waits to catch the jab with his right hand and counter. What I haven't really seen is someone throw a right uppercut to force Mayweather to change the position of his right hand in order to block it and follow up with a left hook, right hand. Easier said than done of course!
I've always wondered this too (if I understand you correctly). After he ducks down from the pull-counter right hand, I never got why guys never tried to drop low and hit him with an uppercut on the way down. Probably easier said than done of course.
slick southpaws can be trouble
someone like Ortiz was easy work
dont think you have to be slick, just dont be margarito-esque
the main thing to have is the right jab and a long left hand, which ortiz was severely lacking in being a fake southpaw, his left is usually a little too short and looks more like a hook
to begin with, you have to be a great fighter or the perfect style-matchup
his weaknesses are:
a varied body-head attack and doubling up of a single punch(to mess with his shoulder roll)
southpaws
and he gets outworked on occasion too, so if you can remain elusive enough will bank you rounds just for being busier
