Anyone else think Broner/malignaggi is a waster of time? I like Paulie but I dont want to see him fight. I would love to see Broner fight someone that actually has a chance to beat him. Paulie is a pretty good boxer but he has 0 chance of hurting Broner. I was disappointed when I heard this fight was made.
Not at all, Paulie is a Champion at 147 and this is Broner's first fight at 147
Anything can happen once they get in that ring...Paulie wasn't suppose to beat Vyacheslav Senchenko in the Ukraine either but he DID
He was a big underdog against a random guy from Europe who never faced anybody. Yea he beat him, so what? All he had was a shiny record. That says something about how Paulie was thought about just a year ago. Paulie was also suppose to beat Pablo Cano in his hometown, but he DIDNT.
It's just entertainment. The fans are eating up the pre-fight **** talking and I'm sure a lot of people will show up.
As far as being a competitive fight.....lol
broner is taking his floyd copy cat routine very seriously.
right down to the shameless repugnant cherry picking.
but he yung doe.
if manny did this you'd be salivating and saying how great it was. typical-judges actions based on the fighter.
If Paulie stays on the move (in & out & laterially) and uses his jab moving left he can present a problem. He needs to make Broner step to him then fire and move. Sort of count/ counter point, lots of misdirection but he needs to score.
I think Broner can adjust by using his amatuer boxing days of getting on his toes and boxing amatuer style! This will enable him to get the distance with quicker steps and be in rythmn to punch.
Thats how this match might be interesting because there will be adjustments made andif Paulie could make this a "boxing match up" we'll see a different approach by Broner. Ever fighter makes small to large adjustments in their career atleast the ones that are successfull have to! Ray

At first I felt like it was pointless but watchable. Now with all the trashtalk and anger on Malignaggi's side, I can't wait to watch!. As soon as I start to think it will be a pretty easy task for Broner, I have to remind myself of his fight with Ponce De Leon. He was getting tagged by Rhys pretty good also. Who knows!. I hope Broner's camp don't find a way out of this fight. Broner's body language doesn't look too good during they're confrontations...
Broner is not the one who is making these "waste of time fights". Schaefer and Haymon do. They have to do twist and turns to make the most money before feeding their cash cow to lions.
Clowns like Schaefer and Haymon think they will live forever.
Do I want to see this fight? Hell No. But I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a waste of time either. Paulie is entertaining on the mic, and Broner is entertaining in the ring. Paulie is gonna talk a terrific game that Broner won't be able to keep up with, but he'll get the better of Paulie inside the ring.
Paulie had a tough fight with Cano, and it was a pretty close fight but that doesn't mean he's done for...come on. This is a better fight than Burns at 135. All the 140 guys were already committed for a fight, so who else? Vazquez is with Zangief or whatever that promoter's name is and they don't work with Golden Boy. So who else? Broner has shown his skills vs clearly inferior fighter. This could potentially be a walk in the park for Broner, but it could definitely become really hard for him. He's fighting someone that's naturally 147, and someone that can actually move. If Broner wins, it will be because he's showing us a new set of skills. How is this not something to look forward to? This is a good test for Broner. And you better believe that if he does win, he will go to 140 and fight one of the top guys there.
