I've never in recent times seen a top level champion so open to the same punch over and over again. i cannot believe after the losses and amount of times he's been knocked over no one has taught him to defend the left hook over the top.
If I was in Khans corner I'd tell him to only throw a maximum of 3 punches at a time and never throw his right hand unless he will land. It seems to me every time he starts to throw combo's his right hand starts going down to his side and his chin is so high in the air. I'd hate to see a massive Lucas Matthysse left hook check him on the chin.
When I used to train fighters who were susceptible to left hooks, I would have them grab their right ear with their right hand. The only time they took their hand off that ear was when they were going to throw punches.
Eh? I thought he got hit more with right hands than left hooks. He had that right glove stuck to his chin 90% of the fight. Only time I saw him get caught by the left hook waas in the 11th when he decided to exchange. He got hit by a left which started it all then a right followed by another left.

Matthysse's left hook ain't that powerful. It's his right hand that worries me.
I fear that Matthysse is the only fighter in the 140 division that can put Amir to sleep.
See I agree Lucas has a devastating right hand, but in the fights I've watched Lucas always finishes with this looping left hook that swings around and catches alot of people unaware, that's the punch I see him stopping Khan with. Khan will throw a combo, step back and lucas will clip him with the left.

Half the division can.
Uhm... Amir blocked most of them left hooks. Did you count how many Diaz threw? He threw plenty of them. It's just that Amir got rocked by every left hook that he got hit with.
He got hit with about 12 then.......... great blocking that............
Most boxers would circle to the left and keep the right hand up after getting caught a few times, not Khan. His trainer was just as bad, "i'm proud of you, come down and punch through the target" he's been getting rocked and caught with the left for the last 3 rounds and that's all his trainers got? LOL
He did a bit better in defending/anticipating the looping/overhand right, but as you said, he kept getting caught with the left hook.
I agree the overhand right was well defended. Khan keeps his chin so high though, once he starts throwing his hands go down and boom his on queer street.
