Did Roach ever announce the new fighter he was training?

Guys it was probably Canelo, Canelo was training at WILD CARD WEST in Santa Monica owned by Garry Shandling and Peter Berg, hence why the two actors were in Texas for Canelo;s fight. Wild Card west is an affiliate of Freddie Roach;s gym. Maybe Canelo decided not to train with Roach and it never worked out.

Guys won't answer Freddie's calls anymore. Lately having Roach in their corner has pretty much guaranteed a fighter he was going to get his ass kicked. Like Ruslan Provodnikov...

No he said this during the time he was training Shiming, and Shiming is brand new, the guy he was referring to was Canelo Alvarez, but Julio Cesar Chavez Jr decided to go back wtih Roach. I think Canelo is the guy Roach was referring too, the big star undefeated boxer. Canelo trains out of Wild Card west an affiliate of Freddie Roaches Wild card boxing gym, Peter Quillin trains out of there too, and I think Peter Berg and Garry Shandling the actors own that gym and are trying to manage Canelo's US career or something like that and were trying to hook Roach and Canelo up or something. Didn't pan out.

I remember that thread also. I'm not sure he has either. :thinking: Good for a second I thought I may have been making it up or dreaming about it lol I was gonna be real scared if I was dreaming about boxingscene

I remember there being a thread on here maybe a month or so ago and it was saying Roach was training a new undefeated champion I think and I don't remember if I ever saw it announced or if he has announced it. Anyone have an update? I remember that thread also. I'm not sure he has either. :thinking:
