I agree but you have to keep in mind that Trout even though he wasn't landing much, he was throwing a lot making Canelo think a lot, and he had a difficult style. I think Canelo got tired more so of thinking against Cloud and boxing him. It's a learning experience, so far he hadn't dealt with somebody that smart, talented and in his prime. He's gotten tired before like in the Cotto fight when he got rocked but this was a little different. I think it was more so nerves and thinking cause Trout is talented no matter if Canelo made him look sloppy at times.
U make good points. I think canelo does deserve more credit to for the way he was slipping trouts punches and making him miss. One of the big criticisms on Nelo was lack of head movement and being a stationary target and he without question ended that thinking last night. This kid does have skills
Jr has better stamina.he throws a lot more then canelo. If jr could keep the fight on the inside with his big body he would wear canelo out. Nelo needs to take his ass to big bear and run up in the mountains a little more frustrating how he was fighting in spurts. He honestly could of won that fight more dominating by letting them hands go
Canelo just got his feet wet people. Chavez jr is a tall order for any jr middleweight right now. His monster chin, relentless pressure, body attack and punches in bunches is too much for an average sized jr middleweight to deal with at 160.
I voted Canelo would win. He is a much better fighter than Chavez in my opinion. Chavez would be dangerous because he keeps coming and throwing hard punches for 12 rounds and he has an iron jaw. I think Canelo can avoid being KOed and win a ud. Canelo has clearly stated that he will stay at 154 so this fight is unlikely to happen.
Are you serious , Canelo is 170 on the night same as Martinez , Floyd is 150 but its not to much pushing for him is it , if its ok for Floyd to go to 154 then its ok for Canelo to go to MW , or is it another double standard you want .
Canello vs Sergio or GG is the same deal as Floyd going to 154 to fight Canelo .
Tell Floyd to give up the belt that he has at 154 and the problem goes away. He went to 154, beat a 154 title holder and kept the belt. He verbally agred to fight Canelo and then backed out, it's not like the idea of fighting Canelo was never entertained by Floyd.
Before yesterday, Canelo was beating up on smaller dudes and had never faced a legit 154 pounder. He fought and beat the best guy there, both guys made the weight like they were supposed to. Now Canelo is too big for 154 and needs to fight at 160 where he has never fought and people only want him to fight there so the spotlight is off of Floyd.
No double standards, just one-way biasing.
Yeah, Alvarez would be a legit MW while Chavez jr would be at least 10 pounds heavier. I think the weight and size would wear him out over the long haul. Not unless he has the cardio of Sergio which I don't think he can achieve.
Awful lot of pushing for Canelo to move up all of a sudden. I thought a Floyd fight was just around the Corner in September?

Jr. Is garbage however I may actually pick him to win, Alvarez doesn't have the stamina to keep Jr. off of him, the guy was tired by the 6th and 7th round. I think Canelo tires and gets KO'd.
We don't know how JR will comeback though, he got the ever living shyt beat out of him, it's possible he'll never be the same, his career may be over.
Jr by ko Canelo doesn't have the power to keep Jr off. I also don't think Canelo has the conditioning to withstand 12 rounds of pressure.
