I still think Trout gives Mayweather problems...why? Because of his JAB, the punch that everyone say works best against Mayweather
But yeah his accuracy numbers will look like CRAP and trying to get a Decision over Mayweather in Vegas is just as hard if not harder then Trout trying to get a Decision over Canelo in Texas
So I think Trout would give him problems STILL and would be able to play chess with Mayweather the full 12 Rounds but he wouldn't get the Decision over Mayweather
Trout couldnt even land his jab on Canelo and with Floyds pull counter, Trout would get takem advantage of.
I feel like Mayweather would eat him alive. Trout was missing against Canelo, just imagine how how much of a problem Mayweather would give him lol. We should wait till after the Guerrerro fight before a thread like this though because dude is like 37, we need to see how mayweather performs at this age.

20% connect percentage wont get it done against Floyd.
This, trout doesnt beat Floyd. You gata be more than mobile and most of trouts activity has little substance. All I saw with Trout was opening after opening.
Styles make fights...to me...Trout easily beats Mayweather by UD, too much movement, length, great boxing skill...
On the other hand, I think Mayweather beats Canelo easily...see...at the old saying goes..."Styles make fights"
I voted Trout wins a very close ud. It seemed to me that Trout beat Cotto by about the same amount as Floyd did. If they fought it would be after the Guerrero fight and Floyd would be 16 months further over the hill than when he fought Cotto. Trout is a very young fighter and time is on his side, not Floyd's.Trout is a real big, strong 154 pounder and he was very lean and hard for his fight with Canelo. He is a much bigger man than Mayweather and he is a natural southpaw with speed, boxing skills, a good jab and a good strait left.

Trout-Mayweather, Canelo-Mayweather, GGG-Mayweather, Martinez-Mayweather....but old ass B.Hop wouldn't get credit for biting any of those dude's heads off?!?....f*ck Floyd....he got a whole division of 140 pounders thats about to outgrow their welcome there....Lucas, Khan, Swift,...there's Thurman at 147..man, Floyd got plenty work....B.Hop and Ward need some work though...yall wouldn't wanna see father and son bite a few heads off before they meet in a MEGA fight?!? #dreamchasers :boxing:

Before last night's night there were a few posters who thought Trout was one of the best boxers in the world. Do people think that Trout was more over rated or that Canelo was just good enough to make him look less than spectacular?I can only speak for myself and I think Canelo and Trout are two of the best fighters around and I don't think either of them will lose a fight for a long time.

Agree to disagree. I think Trout beat Canelo rather easily. To me, Canelo proved he's not ready for Floyd. Trout on the other hand is ready for Floyd.
Difference in boxing caliber to me. To each his own.
I didnt see anything from either fighter that shows they can beat Floyd.
IMO, Trout handles Floyd, and anyone saying it's easy work for Floyd is straight up biased.
Canelo is Floyds superior and has surpassed Floyds achievements of late. Canelo beat the man who beat the man.....ie Cotto. Trout also beat Cotto better than Floyd, so Floyd hasnt even proved he can beat Trout.
Is Floyd deserving of a crack at ginger or should floyd get in line.
Well Trout would try to outwork Floyd, and volume whores would be all over it. I can hear it now... "Trout threw more and landed more than Floyd. Forget the more effective or damaging shots. Trout was a buzz saw in there. Shostats/compubox tells me so."
But under my scoring I would have Floyd ahead with consumate defense and accurate effective countering. He would have to slip, roll, and deflect a lot of pitty pat jabs though enroute to a controversial (at least on here) victory of accuracy over volume.
Canelos better at defense than Floyd now.... har.. har... harrrrrr
Not better but he has a different defensive style. He was bending his knees to duck punches and parring a lot of Trout's shots. Mayweather's defensive style is more stationary where he uses rotation to roll with punches or he does a pull counter.
I am just curious how their styles would mesh up seeing as how they are both more along the lines of pure boxers.
Trout is overrated
Trout didn't even look good against Canelo Alvarez. And I think Alvarez can be had.Trout just couldn't hurt Alvarez,as he lacks true power. But the openings were there.I saw some holes in Alvarez' game that a GREAT fighter like Floyd Mayweather Jr. could exploit.Alvarez holds his hands too low for one thing.I think he feels his head movement will offset the low guard, but again ,not against a GREAT fighter like F.M. Jr.
So Floyd doesn't have a belt at 154? You want to rethink your position? :boxing:
Against guys that started at LW and JWW , not against natural 154s , there is a big difference , Manny had a 154 belt to and would not even fight Cotto at 154 he wouldnt even fight him at 147 , Roy Jones had a HW belt did he look for Holyfield or Lewis , try and find a WW to beat Floyd , all you see is numbers and you have double standards around those numbers , to you Floyd can go to 154 yet he dont weigh more than 150 on fight night but you see that and give him no credit for doing what Manny would not do , yet in your other thread Canelo cant go to MW yet he weighs 170 the same as MW Sergio and Golovkin
Your double standards are just pure hating .
