What excuses will people use now? All this nonsense that he cant beat a quality fighter yup that's out the window now. So what mindless excuses will people make now?
Every major source had him winning! But what you are doing is creating a controversy that doesn't exist! There isn't any! Fuking Fat Dan and Doug Fischer didn't mention a thing. And Canelo fights in spots he always has and it's not my fault you don't pay attention to that. First it was his chin because he got stunned for 5 seconds once and now all Im going to hear is he has no stamina blah blah blah. Just making up excuses!!!
Here's lots of press scores, looks pretty even:

But I agree people are now underestimating Trout. He's a lot bigger than Floyd, a lot more active, southpaw, and has much fresher legs.
Man DempseyRollin just asked you a good logical question, gave you some examples of experts who had a close fight or Trout winning and you answer with "Every major source had him winning!".
C'mon son...
And I asked the question who is crying controversy other then well people who are just making the excuse to save face.
But you forgot about one expert that had Canelo winning and didn't make any excuses. Austin trout himself LOL!!!

excuse about what?what is it that you are looking for?
Ok, every major boxing expert like who? All of the ShowTime commentators had it 1round apart. Ring scored it for trout. Who else? And Austin trout is a good fighter, no doubt. That doesn't explain why canelo gassed. That doesn't explain why he looked wild, doesn't explain why he could not trap a guy with little power, doesn't explain why he couldn't finish a guy he had severely hurt and then proceeded to lose the rest of the round. Seriously if u didn't see all of these things last night then I'm wasting my time talking to u.
exactly what i saw.

See this is exactly what im talking about!!!! He eeked out a victory? Every major boxing expert had him winning a clear victory so that's excuse number 1! Excuse number 2 is that he looked raw or whatever. Yeah I guess a very talented Austin Trout had nothing to do with it. Haters like you championed Trout for 8 weeks and then all of a sudden you want to act like Canelo was fighting Ricky Hatton's brother last night. How convenient!

Yea, he eeked out a victory, but he also showed that he's nowhere near the finished product ppl make him out to be. He's so raw, and he's more hype than skill at this point. He's very beatable and hardly a phenom.

Dude. Your talking about ****ing boxing fans. Just look at the lineup of fights over the past month:
- Bradley got a gift and it should have been stopped in the 2nd round
- Alvarado ran and would have been KO'd if he went toe to toe
- Rigondeaux ran and made the fight boring and Donaire was overrated
It's insane. And now Canelo is getting the same treatment. Boxing has the most *****y, excuse making fans out of any other sport out there. The problem is you can't point to a scoreboard as evidence like you can in other sports.

I still think you are downplaying how talented trout is. Nobody was saying any of this at all before the fight happened.
But most of my criticisms of Canelo are irrespective of Trout's performance. His stamina should have been elite, the left shouldn't have been low, he shouldn't be reckless with those looping punches.
I understand your sentiments. People were tearing Canelo and he pulled off the win. It's good you're calling them out on it.
But if he wants the big fights next (Mayweather, Martinez) then he has more to be worried about than be pleased.
Canelo was impressive if we're comparing him against Trout and the JMW 'talent'. He showed good head movement, could take a decent punch, actually pretty quick with his upper body movement.
But bear in mind he knew Trout couldn't hurt him. He knew Trout doesn't commit to his punches most of the time. Add to that he gassed out midway through the 6th, kept his left hand low almost the entire fight and threw wild punches that Floyd would punish him for without breaking a sweat (and if he wants to fight Floyd we've got no choice but to compare the two). I don't think he's a knockout waiting to happen due to his size and chin. But he's a very embarrassing shut out waiting to happen.

that ginger barely won, if he even did win.
And that means what exactly? The knock on Canelo was that he hadn't beat a top 10 opponent. He goes out and beats a top JMW and your excuse is "well he didn't beat him good enough for me"? you know you sound like a giant injured vagina when you say dumb s hit like that?
Showtime/GBP screwed Trout from the get go.
Canelo is still the same stand still, no stamina having, fights at a snail's pace fighter. No body attack against an elite opponent, and is there to be hit all night long. Showed good head movement, but can barely capitalize off of it.
Doesn't push the pace when necessary, and goes headhunting when his opponent is hurt.
There's more, just can't think of any.
P.S. I was rooting for Canelo last night, and in the grand scheme of things could care less who won, and could care less about the JMW division.
He obviously needs work and he has time being only 22. He hurt Trout with numerous shots excluding that one that knocked him down.

Canelo won last night but to be honest, he didn't look very impressive.
From what I could see last night, Canelo loads up on his punches to much, which causes him to fatigue quickly. He needs to be more active in there and learn how to pace himself. With his style, he will have trouble with fighters that have an iron chin and are more aggressive. He could lose rounds do to inactivity.
He also needs to work on his inside game, there were times when Trout had him on the ropes and he should have been able to counter easily because Trouts inside game was piss poor as well.
I believe his win over Trout makes him a legit champion at 154. He should forget about facing Mayweather, it's not going to happen. Mayweather ducked Pac and he will duck Canelo as well. Instead, he should call out other p4p fighters that would be willing to fight him. IMO Sergio Martinez would be an excellent opponent for Canelo. Martinez is coming off a surgery and a rough outing against JCC Jr. If I was Canelo, I would try to be the first to take out the middle weight champ before Martinez starts to show his age and his stock goes down.

What did you expect. No one else in the division is as good as Trout. Were you expecting the fight to be easy.
