Hes achieved being the unified champion of the entire division that Floyd last fought at and a ring attendance only rivaled by Pacquiao. He has every right to call out Floyd, if Floyd is really money mayweather, this is a huge money fight for all the marbles at 154.
With that said, I do think Floyd fights him but tries to take a 60 40 split... so be it.. Canelo should take it and try to beat Floyd.
What money are you talking about? The guy has never been a PPV fighter so if people were really interested in his fights don't you think they would at least pay to watch him fighting?
OK so he fought in an arena where people paid $10 that's like £6.00 how much money could be made from that?Even an ice cream costs more money than that, that's a price of a cheap burger?
You say he could get 40-60 of the purse?Based on what really when he brings nothing apart from his ass to get whooped?
I keep hearing Canelo saying he wants Mayweather. Who exactly is he and what has he really achieved apart from wanting a pay day?
He's achieved about the same as Guerrero and Ortiz have achieved.
You're ****ting me right? I don't know what fight you saw, but Trout would absolutely handle Floyd.
The size, speed, movement, jab, chin, stamina would give Floyd fits from round 1 to 12.
Trout could rarely land a punch on saul freaking alvarez... whats he gonna do with floyd? Other than throw a bunch of punches that dont land and get pull countered all night. Alvarez made himm miss but not pay.. floyd makes you pay. Trout gets his ears boxed off.
Canelo is a superstar which gives him some leverage to choose fight he wants. In my opinion he just want that Mayweather name win in his record and probably huge payday.
Are people for real?
What did Ortiz accomplish? What about RG?
Canelo is a better fighter then both guys and is a Mexican star, yet haters on this site want to discredit and hate so damn much........damn
I keep hearing Canelo saying he wants Mayweather. Who exactly is he and what has he really achieved apart from wanting a pay day?
He beat the best champion at 154 other than himself.
He also has drawing power, he can sell out stadiums like crazy.
What did Victor Ortiz and Guerrero do? oh they beat overrated Al Haymon fighter Andre Berto who fought can of the month guys on HBO. Also Ortiz and Guerrero can't draw the way Canelo can.
Floyd wont fight Canelo. And Canelo wont allow Floyd to screw him in the payday.
Don't compare what Floyd had to give into the demands of Delahoya because before his fight with Delahoya, Floyd wasn't a big draw at all. You can't even compare the draw that Canelo is to the draw that Floyd was before the Delahoya fight. Floyd can't touch Canelo.
I'd be surprised if Canelo conceeds to 60/40 with all that he would bring to a Mayweather/Canelo fight.
You're insane if you think Canelo would get 60/40. That's what Floyd offered pac when pac was still big after he turned down 50/50. If he wants 60/40 he's going to have to headline his own pvp and do 700k+ numbers. Floyd is all about the business side of things and 60/40 isn't going to happen. 70/30 maybe...

Floyd will want 70-30 and a catch weight.
Of course.
You know, RG looked like a Prime Sugar Ray Robinson in there with one of the greatest fighters of all time in Andre Berto.
RG earned that shot at Mayweather dont ya know. Isn't he something like a 10 time world champion in 15 different weight classes? That's what you call earning a shot at Mayweather right there.
Canelo didn't impress enough against a bum like Trout. He needs to do more, like Guerrero and Ortiz did.
He beat trout but he didn't really "impress" me vs. him. It was a good close fight but neither Trout nor Canelo looked exceptionally impressive. It could like I said have to do with the open scoring, after round 8, Canelo knew he could do nothing and win...Trout needed a KO it seems to have messed up what they were both trying to do.
As for guerrero it's not a bad fight, not great but there isn't a better WW to fight atm. At this point Martinez looks to be the smaller guy than Canelo even, so I think Martinez vs Floyd would be a more reasonable fight to want to make if he can even hit 154. Also Pacs on a low level atm, where Alvarado of all people is being considered a great legit fight by people... that'd be a bad fight for floyd to take unless Pac is still relevant, which we don't know yet.
I keep hearing Canelo saying he wants Mayweather. Who exactly is he and what has he really achieved apart from wanting a pay day?
Because He likes beating up on lightweights obviously. On a serious note anyone who says that because they've both won titles at 154 they're about the same size, after seeing the fight night weigh in last night... is blind.
And RG did? Thats a joke man! Floyd's just gonna keep taking you mugs to the cleaners and not fighting anyone with a pulse. Why wouldnt he? he has done just that for the last 5 and a half years.
Of course.

Well as many know, I feel Trout actually won the fight, but whatever. Since it seems most people think Canelo won, I don't want to hear any b*tching when this kid looks like s**t and gets taken to school for 12 rounds.
Seriously, even though I felt Trout won, neither guy impressed last night and made me say, I want to see Mayweather fight these guys.

Canelo is the unified JM champion, a crossover star in the making, why do floydidiots have make every excuse in the book about why Floyd should fight any opponent with a pulse like Martinez, PAC and Canelo but fighting Guerrero, Past prime Cotto, Ortiz and a LW Marquez were good fights ha? It seems like Mayweather only fights once a year to make every fight a tuneup supposedly for a bigger fight down the road but then he goes on Vacation and then he comes back and demands another tuneup and every ***** just keeps defending him, Floyd will be remember above all as the greatest ducker to walk the face of the earth, a great talented boxer that was too scared to take on a real challenge, while some of the boxers of his generation will be immortalized because of the great fights and the challenges that they took.
