Considering how quick the Brits are to declare their Euro level fighters as World Class I wouldn't be surprised if they give away the black belts once the kids perfect their stance on the 3rd day of class.
Boxing has only really started to take off in the UK, more medals won in 2011 world championships than in all the previous years combined.
Without trying to sound like I'm 'hating', or whatever, this is a stupid comment to make. Ridiculous.
There have been world champions in the UK throughout the course of history and boxing here in the 90s was massive when fighters like Benn, Eubank, Lewis etc were on the scene.
Maybe since then it has died down and we're currently starting to see a resurgence (although I dunno if that's necessarily true either), but to say that the sport has just recently become popular is wrong.
his mostly right, uk fighters seem to rely on physical attirbuties rather than skill. there are the odd exceptions, but america both north and south has proven over the years they have the higher class fighters.
Toney is still a humorous individual but his speech is majorly messed up at the age of 44.
His brain is basically jelly at this point. If he leaned to one side half of it would probably fall out his ear.
But, yeah, he says some funny stuff.
